Taplin Soft Water

Water softener was timely installed and works fine. The issue is that the water softener installed had a plastic dial that was not in English. My home was a new construction in 2017 I contacted them in late 2018 asking for them to replace the dial that was not in English. They said they would put me on the schedule for the next week to replace it. They never showed up and I forgot about it. I recently reached out to them again to replace it, and they noted that service was completed in 2017 and asked why I didn't reach out before. I said that I did and they didn't come out. They asked me to send them a picture, which I did, and they proceeded to tell me how to operate the unit. I noted that I didn't need help operating the unit, I wanted a unit that would be in English, and directed them to the picture where the plastic dial had setting in a foreign language. There was some confusion as they thought I was talking about the display, and they proceeded to explain to me how to operate the display, and I continued to try to explain the display was not the issue, but rather the plastic dial. The conversation became tense, and there was shouting from both of us. The conversation ended with the owner saying "I don't have time to deal with this bull***" and the call ended with him asking me if I "forgot to take my medicine this morning." Professionalism aside, at the end of the day my personal expectation as a customer is to have something installed in my home in a language I can understand, and a company that will stand behind their product and make things right. The owner's response was "they make these in 17 different languages." When I tried to press whether I can get one in English, he again started talking about the portions of the product that had English on it without addressing the actual problem. Overall a frustrating experience. No complaints about the initial service or the product itself, only the lack of professionalism, not following through, and not standing behind the product.

It went fine for about a year and a half. Five months ago a plumber told me it was leaking. It wasn't really evident at the time, but i called Taplin about it. He took my phone number and told me he would call me the next day. He never did. Now it is clearly leaking having caused some water damage on the lower part of a wall. I called him again tonight. I will see if he calls me back tomorrow. He apparently does not offer a warranty, nor does he stand by his product. I have also contacted a plumber, in case he again does not get back to me.

Fast and on time. Would like to know more about what he was doing and the setting om my softerner. Didnt show how to us it. Other then that good work best price in town

Contacted Ron Taplin about purchasing a replacement water softener.  He came out within an hour, determined which unit I needed, and had it installed within 4 hours from the initial contact.  I heartily recommend Taplin.

I called on a Tuesday and the gentleman came out on the following Sunday to install a new water softener. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product.  He was able to install it within an hour and then provided a good explanation on how it works. We bought "165 Series Water Softener." The quality of the product is very good. I highly recommend this product and service for anyone who is looking to buy/install a water softener.

Arrived on time, went to work immediately, explained about the softener, cleaned tank & was very competent & friendly.

Lives in Woodbury so knew exactly what we needed. Didn't try to over sell, fast service and a very friendly guy. Can't really comment on quality of product because we just got it, but it was the same one we had before. Told us it should last 15/20 years which is much longer then any online info I read. So we're happy.

Our water softener wasn't functioning well and was making a lot of noise so we called Ron to take a look at it. It needed replacement and he was able to install a new one the following day. There was no mess left behind and he worked efficiently. I couldn't believe how little time it took him to replace everything! Everything works great now. I'm very pleased with his service.
