Be very explicit about what you want and check the work afterward. He did a good job - I would not say exemplary - but I defniitely got my money's worth.

The 1st set of services he got the bid due to his low bid. He came in a put two coats on the walls but didn't prep walls well and didn't get good coverage on the walls. In addition, there were many paint drip marks. He was willing to come back to put additional coats on but still did not do a thorough job.

The 2nd set of services he was going to continue to fix the first set of services and paint the downstairs. These were brand new perfect walls and he had roller marks, paint drips, and missed coverage. In addition, the enamel was smeared and horribly done and the stain was done well but the transition between enamel and stain was not the correct spot based on where we agreed and what makes sense. Plus it was not a clean line on either of the windows. Very sloppily done. 

I asked Terry to come back out and fix the enamel first and foremost and he came back out and really didn't take accountability for why the job was s horrible as it was. He left the paint with me and I had to call a 2nd contractor out to fix the work as he was clearly not capable. The 2nd contractor and the original general contractor that had finished the rooms all agreed that the work was definitely poor quality. The contractor called Sherwin Williams and determined that the paint can used by Terry was 10 year old paint which is why the enamel job was so bad. 

I confronted Terry on this and told him I wanted a refund for the amount I needed to pay the other contractor to fix his work and I never received the money.

He arrived on time, actually did the work in less time than planned. However, both times he had to come back and do some touch-up at our request. The work was done at a much lower cost than the other two companies we contacted, and he picked up the paint we chose from the paint store which made the process easy. Overall, he did a very good job, but you will want to pay attention to details in case he needs to come back to make sure there are no small missed spots or caulking gaps. We would definitely hire him again.

I discovered the water damage in the bedroom on Saturday, 7/31. I left a message on Terry's voice mail that afternoon, not expecting a call back until Monday. Instead, he returned my call around 4:00 that day and made an appointment to assess the damage at 9:00 AM Monday. He was right on time. Terry explained what he would do and what it would cost, depending on materials needed. His bid seemed very reasonable, so I scheduled the work for Wednesday, 8/04. He completed the work before 1:00 Wednesday and it looks very good. I am extremely pleased with the turnaround time, and Terry is very nice to work with. He actually charged us $12 less than his estimate (unheard of in my experience!). I already have him booked for some exterior work in a couple weeks.

We contacted him for a quote, he came out next day. Quote included painting the interior and the paint needed. When he left the quote with us, he also left paint swatches for us to choose the color(s) we would want. After talking to a few other painters, we called him back to do the job. Due to the weather he was able to start right away, even though we would be out of town during the job. He called us daily to give an update and worked well with a plumber coming in to his work. The job done was wonderful! It was done on time and on quote.

I contacted T.R. Painting over the phone and made an appointment to get a quote. After getting other quotes, I decided to go with T.R. Painting based on reviews on Angie's list. I let Terry know what brand and color of paint I wanted to use and he purchased paint and other supplies himself because he could get volume discount from paint stores. I will definitely use T.R. Painting for future painting projects.

It was a great job. TR did a small interior job for me last year which was very good, and I told him I wanted to service the exterior in the spring. Thankfully, spring came early this year. Terry estimated 3-4 days with three guys and they finished in three days. The previous owners never maintained the exterior of my home and it looks great now! Amazing. I have some more interior projects later in the year and will call TR again.

I thought it would be a 2-3 day job but Terry estimated 1.5 days. Terry finished in one day including a couple extra effort items I did not expect. His attention to detail and clean-up was very good. He was also flexible with dates/times and obstacles (furniture). I intend to use Terry again in the near future and would recommend him to others.

I called 3 painters on Angies List for estimates. Terry returned my call the same day and came out exactly when I asked him to for a bid. He was extremely professional and had a lot of suggestions regarding colors etc. He was the lowest bid I received but I mostly choose him because he felt like the right person. Terry came in and painted during a 3 day period when we were out of town. He did an excellent job. He painted all rooms as instructed and he totally cleaned up. He came back for a 3rd coat on one wall that I wanted a little darker within 2 days. He even handled my cats for me and I felt secure trusting him to not let them out etc. while I was gone. I highly recommend Terry Robinson for any painting project.

I found out I was having out of town guests and needed to have my bathroom "guest ready" ASAP. Logged on to Angie's list on 10-04-09 and searched for painters close to my home. I decided to get 3 bids. I made three phone calls first thing monday morning. By Monday afternoon I had my appointments set. Terry was the first to call me back. Our meeting was good. Terry was very personable and provided the cost of the job on the spot. I called to let Terry know on Wednesday that I wanted to hire him. The work was completed the following Monday by 12:30 and looked fantastic. Thanks Terry for a faboulous experience for using Angie's List for the very first time!

This is the second time we've hired TR Painting, and as with our first experience, the quality of Terry's work was excellent, and he was very efficient. His prices are very reasonable. We would absolutely hire him again.

He came in and did a very professional bid process for us and told us what he would do. We felt that he was just the right mix of appropriate techniques that were no more than necessary. He did a nice job of looking at spaces and telling us how much time and paint it would take. He was always on time and did a nice job cleaning up. He was very nice to work with. We did this project in three stages and we were pleased with the outcome of all three. He is extremely efficient and his pricing is more than fair.

Terry responded to my initial call promptly and came to provide an estimate exactly when he said he would. His estimate was significantly less than another I received. He appreciated that I was working on a budget and was very straightforward about costs. After a couple of weeks I decided to go with only a portion of the planned work because I couldn't afford it all at once, and we scheduled the work for within a few days of my decision. He came out again to go over details and pricing. Final price came in slightly under his final estimate. There were no surprises about cost along the way. The quality of workmanship was excellent. The job took two days, and both days the house was completely cleaned up when we arrived home. We only knew he'd been there because the walls changed colors! Terry was polite and considerate throughout the process, and seems like a genuinely nice guy.

The front foyer and stairwell were a challenge. The foyer is two stories high and very difficult to reach without special equipment. I usually do my own painting but knew I wouldn't be able to do this. The trim work he painted is terrific, even around those high ceilings. The other rooms were painted very nicely as well. He worked very quickly and it is a very good job. He also left very little mess. Lastly, he caulked an area around our shower in the bathroom, where we didn't realize there was a gap. This was a nice 'extra' he did for us.

Terry called me on the same day I contacted him for the job. He gave me an estimate within a few days. We set up the paint job for a week later. I went out of town while he did the work. I returned to my house painted professionally, with everything cleaned up. He even put the left over paint downstairs in my laundry room for me. I also asked him if he could replace light bulbs in a high chandelier, and he even went out and got the right sized bulbs for me. I would recommend Terry to anyone. I will use him again in the future to paint other rooms in my house.

I only call him for any painting needs that come up.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TR PAINTING TO ANYONE! THE PRICE SEEMED FAIR, HE CAME WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD AND FINISHED WELL WITHIN THE TIME PROJECTED. AFTER HE FINISHED, EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW HE WAS EVER THERE. TERRY IS VERY PERSONABLE AND HAS GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I PLAN ON HAVING TERRY PAINT THE GARAGE NEXT!

OVERALL, WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE. THERE WERE A FEW PLACES THAT I WASN'T HAPPY WITH, FOR EXAMPLE, HE PAINTED AROUND THE STAIR BANISTER, SO IF/WHEN WE REPLACE THE BANISTER THERE WILL BE WHITE SPOTS, BUT OVERALL, HE DID A GOOD JOB, WAS PLEASANT TO WORK WITH AND HAD A GOOD ATTENTION TO DETAIL. HIS PRICES ARE A BIT HIGHER THAN OTHERS, BUT HE ALWAYS SHOWED UP ON TIME (BOTH FOR THE WORK AND FOR THE ESTIMATE). NO MAJOR PROBLEMS, I'D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS.

WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP. NO MATERIALS NOR DIRT WAS LEFT FOR US TO CLEAN UP. AFTER TIME WAS ALLOWED TO PASS FOR THE PAINT TO FULLY DRY HE CAME BACK TO BE SURE WE WERE SATISFIED.
