Strole & Company LLC

We just completed exterior work on our home with Strole and Company and I couldn't be happier. We received excellent service from start to finish. The team is incredibly skilled, thoughtful and timely. The house looks so amazing. The materials are quality and so are the people.

We hired Strole & Co. in fall 2013 to do our interior remodel. We basically gutted the upstairs and completely changed the floor plan, but to do so required that we reversed the staircase column, so the work went all the way into our basement. We got Olov Strole's name from friends who had hired him to do their own remodel. After getting a few bids, we ultimately chose Olov to do the work because he gave us a solid bid, seemed to understand our tradeoff preferences for what to save money on and what to splurge a little on, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working through that process with his customers. Overall we were very pleased with both the process and the outcome. Olov has great people working for him - we worked with both Todd and Ralph along the way and came to really trust and rely upon them. They showed that they cared very much about "getting it right" and making sure we were happy. Olov himself is sometimes spread thin across his various projects, so having really solid guys managing the day-to-day work was absolutely critical. Ultimately, we went back to Strole & Co. in 2014 when it was time to build a deck off the back of our house. Again, very pleased with both the quality of work and customer care.

We bought our house last winter/spring. A few weeks after we closed on our home, our insurance company sent us a notice of cancellation as some shingles were lifting.
We initially spoke with Ralph from Strole and Co to get his input on the problem. The initial conclusion is that the roof was not an imminent leaking concern but could cause problems in the future. We decided to move forward with replacing the roof (vs insurance w/ a roof exclusion). Ralph helped us to have a better understanding of what was causing the problem and helped us through the process.
I procured several bids and Strole and Co was the best price. We spoke to Ralph and Olov a few times with various questions and consulted with some other individuals in the industry (as well as doing online research) to determine that the methods and materials used were quality. The workers arrived on time and completed the project in a satisfactory manner.
I would not hesitate to contact Strole and Co for future home needs.

We had received two bids the previous year from reliable contractors. But one gave us sticker shock. The other was much lower and left us wondering. So we waited.
Then, at the suggestion of a neighbor, we contacted Olov who is also a neighbor. We talked extensively, considered options, and decided to proceed. Our house is complex: it has been expanded up and out multiple times over the years; there are many corners and bays, and a complex roof line. Olov used carpenters to do the work. They were meticulous. They checked with us frequently on details before proceeding. I was around most of the time, since I am semi-retired. Olov recommended using SW Duration paint; we agreed.
The work took longer than Olov expected, due to the challenges of the house (but was done well before the at-home wedding). The price did not go up as a result. Olov provided an architect's assist with details and color. We did a lot of experimenting with different color combinations.
The new siding ties the house together. We are pleased with the work. I recommend Olov and his craftsmanship.

Olov came out and did the initial review of the problem and provided an estimate. We scheduled the work for the beginning of May. His workers arrived on time on the date agreed to. They were courteous, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. The final bill came in a little under the original estimate. I would defintely use this company again for future projects.

They co-designed the deck with us. They were very meticulous. They made sure the specifications were correct. It was done in a timely manner. They do very high quality work. They have good attention to detail.
