Fair. I was not happy that we were charged for travel time because he did not warn me of that before we hired him. He had to travel 45-60 minutes to get to our house and we probably would have searched for a closer contractor if we knew we'd be spending $200-300 for traveling. He also had done some tiling in our addition and I would grade the finished product there a B-. The grout color around the slate is uneven, and one tile is not flush with the others. The company offered to try and redo that tile but we did not want to mess with the other tiles and possibly make it worse. This situation and the fact that we will have to add grout to the backsplash is why I graded him B for quality of work.
