Showplace, Inc. was one of several bids we received for the work. Dan had done work for neighbors who spoke highly of him and his company. The bid was not the least expensive of those we received, but after our initial meetings it was clear to us that Dan's expertise and temperament were worth some extra cost. It was a large and many-layered job and Dan's experience and steady hand were great.
The quality of the workmanship is excellent. Dan, his crew, and all of his sub-contractors were prompt, efficient, and talented. When the unforeseen complications of working on an 87-year-old home cropped up, we appreciated his experience and problem solving skills. Dan has a good design eye, common sense, and creativity. Everyone cleaned up after themselves.
Finally, with a project of this size, we spent a lot of time with Dan and his crew in and around our home. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed having them around.

We love this contractor! Dan Preisler, owner of Showplace Inc is great to work with. He is honest and clear and very detailed. We have used Dan in the past to remodel our basement and for other smaller projects, and are currently in the middle of a major kitchen/family room/dining room remodel. Dan's estimates are thorough and clear - no surprises as the process moves forward. His work is professional and beautifully finished. Even when there are sub contractors in the house Dan is there every day making sure everything is going smoothly. He is a little pricier than some other contractors, but absolutely worth it for the quality of his work.He worked with us step by step all the way through the design phase, from the first "ideas" meeting through final plans. We would definitely recommend Showplace Inc to anyone looking for a contractor who can get the job done.

We think that Dan, the owner, is fabulous. He is just the best. We will not use anybody else to remodel anywhere in our house. We looked at others and ended up coming back to him. He is on time. He does what he says he is going to do. He charges what he says he is going to charge. He is very clear with all his estimates and invoices. He is a stand up guy. He is honest and if a particular idea is not going to work he will not make it work. He will tell us that it is not going to work and he will tell us why it will not work. He is great. We are still in the design process so the actual construction work has not begun yet. We have been working with Dan and the designer to figure out what we want the kitchen to look like. Once we figure out that, it will start. Other construction people would have waited the design to be finalized. However, Dan has been involved at this stage and we find his inputs to be enormously helpful. He has replastered the wall in the bathroom which took him about 20 minutes. He installed some tiles for us. These are little things that he has done for us over the last year which have been fine. Once he did a basement remodel. He told us it was going to take 6 weeks but it took 7 weeks. He kept us informed about it and it did not take very long after the estimated time. We will use him in the future.

The estimate Dan gave us was clear and complete. There were a few places where he helped us find ways to meet our budget better. He came to start the work when he said he would and it was finished on time. Dan or his assistant were on site every day, so we were sure the work was well supervised. The job was finished with no additional charges.
