Handyman Service
We received an estimate for $1,280 for both phases combined. Initially things went well and Phase 1 was completed according to schedule. Then: (a) They removed bushes and hedges that they were told verbally and in writing to NOT remove. (b) The owner, Matt Ramey, said they underestimated and that we would have to pay $1,280 for just Phase 1, and that Phase 2 was estimated at an additional $1,050. The company would not assume any responsibility for the almost 100% overrun. (c) Matt Ramey argued about the extent of the replacement cost the company would assume for the bushes and hedges they admitted they removed even though we had told them not to. (d) Without our permission, the company is using 'before' and 'after' photographs of the yard in their printed advertising. This advertising has been mailed to other households in our neighborhood, with the heading "See How We Helped Your Local Neighbor".
