I reached out to them on a Sunday when one of my toilet stop valves wasn't working - soooo I had to turn off the water main for the day. I tried replacing the valve but the old one was on so tight I couldn't get it off. One of the plumbers showed up on Monday morning and proceeded to struggle with the valve but was able to get it off and replace it. Since the other toilet valve on the same floor was just as old I figured he could do that one as well. I had him install a fill valve in the first toilet as well. Pretty straightforward stuff for a plumber. Total time : 70 minutes. plumber went out to the van and called the offiice to find out how much to charge me. He came back and : Total charge: $500. He didn't break the pricing down at all. I don't use plumbers much so was dumbfounded. I thought he was kidding me. I called another plumber to find out how much he would have charged and it would been more than $125 less. Called them later about how they could justify this price - Greg just said all his costs are going up so nothing he could do. He even said I got a good deal to get this done for $500 - it should have been $800 or more. I hung up. Beware.

We had them out to repair a non-functioning furnace that is 18 years old. Arrived promptly and fixed the problem without trying to sell us a new furnace. Had a separate problem of a plumbing leak, and they came out right away and diagnosed and fixed the problem. I would use them again for their competent work and non-pushy style.

Great. They found a leak under my cupboard and fixed it in addition to fixing faucet, and told me what I needed to do about my dishwasher.

I have a rental property, and the tenants were complaining about a leak in the bathroom. Of course this was late on Thursday before the Christmas weekend. I was out of town, so I called Ryan Plumbing, and he got to it the next day. Apparently it was just a clogged toilet (argh - wish the tenants could have figured that one out themselves.) It was not cheap - $175 for the visit - but I was happy to get it done with promptly. That is just the price you pay.

The plumber was efficient about diagnosing the different areas, let me know what needed replacing, and was efficient in his repairs. There was a slight miscommunication about a part that needed to be ordered vs having to go back to the warehouse for the part, which led to an additional visit. But other than small inconvenience, the repairs have held up.

This company provided quick and wonderful service.  They did not try to sell their services by offering to repair other things; rather, they did exactly what we asked them to do.  They were courteous and communicated well.

The work went fine, the plumber did a excellent job. I asked as long as he was here could he fix a leaky outdoor faucet. He said he could do that and avoid another trip charge. He said he needed to buy or order a part for the faucet. I've called times and no response. I also wrote a email indicating I would write a negative review. Seems they just don't care. The plumber left a pretty nice coffee mug here and I called to inform him/them of that but, no response.

Apart from being expensive, they have been really good. The work that they do has been excellent. They are always expensive. You just call them out and it is $75.

It went well.  Plumber was on site within 2 hours of my call and replaced the water heater.  Price is what I was quoted on the phone.  Very slick operation.

He arrived 90 minutes late and then charged us for several hours while he sat in his truck waiting for the city to turn off/on the water.  (He was supposed to have arranged for the city to turn off the water before he arrived.)
I usually don't like to play the "gender card,"  but, when I told him not to do the additional work and he insisted I feel he was taking advantage of my lack of knowledge.  (Well, I guess men cannot know things about plumbing, too. :) )
I was on my third day with no water and -- at that point -- pretty much willing to accept anything.
Also, he did not break down the costs on the almost illegible bill.
We have sent a detailed letter about all of the issues, but the company has not responded.
I'll write more when (if) we hear from them.

I had a morning appointment, so they said they could come after 1:00 p.m. I got a call at that time saying Scott would be coming to replace my water heater. Scott came at 1:00 and by 2:45 he was finished. I had hot water when I returned from doing errands at 5:00. Scott worked the whole time with no idle chit chat. A co-worker delivered the new water heater and assisted with the install. It took a total of 1 hr 50 minutes to drain and remove the old water heater and install the new one. No problems. I am happy with the result.

The workers were friendly and informative. We were overcharged and I had to call and it took a week before I was given the repayment. The repairs were great for sure but did not like dealing with problem of overcharging.

Greg Ryan of Ryan Plumbing & Heating came within 24 hours of me phoning and requesting an estimate of the work that needed to be done. He described how the work would be completed, the cost, and when it would be completed. Everything turned out perfectly and right on schedule! Fantastic!

The repairman was able to open the valves on some of the radiators (many years ago another plumber came out & said they were all stuck but apparently that was not true, even not having been touched for a couple decades).  Apparently the primary problem is that when we had the heating divided into two zones, the smaller zone was given a larger pipe for water to get to those few radiators.  WIth opening the valves on as many radiators in the zone that was getting less water that helped some.  He also drained the expansion tank.   It has been many many years & the problem seems to have gotten worse, especially if the winter is rather mild as opposed to very cold, & probably more noticeable as winters have been warmer recently.  We will see how things work this winter then will have it looked at after heating season is complete to see if it can be corrected so the bigger pipe can go to the bigger area.

Water heater was quickly fixed even though it was Saturday and response was very quick.  I never asked ahead of time how much it would cost, but I figured about $150 because it was on a weekend.

I had been working with Ryan's for about 3 years on couple rental properties. Normally I call them to do a CO report for the inspector or service the boilers annually. I've had no problem with these type of services. A few months ago I called them to fix a leak on the second floor. They changed the sprayer and billed me a little over $200.00. However the leak wasn't repaired. We fixed it. I never mentioned this to Ryan because I didn't want another service charge for them to come out. Then I called Ryan to repair a water heater that was under warranty and leaking water in the basement. The water heater was replaced. Ryan's removed most the duct from 2 boilers and 3 water heaters. The plumber couldn't get the systems to vent properly. He directed us to call a chimney specialist and left. 2 boiler heating systems were disconnected and it was below zero. He didn't bleed the heating system or open it to allow water to run through it or tell us the pipes could freeze. The next day, the chimney wasn't the problem. The duct at the base of the chimney was clogged. I unclogged it. On the third day after the busted water heater, we attempted to turn on the heat. We had space heaters in the units however they weren't enough. The radiant baseboard heat pipes had froze and was bust in several areas. I was billed a little over $1300 to replace a water heater that was under warranty and ended up with frozen pipes in 2 units. Now because we're working on the heating system and have to pull a permit, everything has to be brought up to code and I have almost a $35,000 plumbing bill. I have spoken to Greg, the owner on 2 occasions asking him to fix the problem. We don't agree. In my opinion, the pipes should have been bled and we should have been warned of the potential problem. I'm not a plumber and that's why I called Ryan's. I trusted this company to take care of us. I was left with a $35,000 bill.
