They started work and suddenly disappeared. After I demanded communication they said they aren't going to finish the project and gave the the contact info for their bankruptcy attorney. Don't trust Eric. He's shady.

Roomsmith displayed a complete lack of professionalism throughout the entire project, from poor communication and constant delays to shoddy workmanship and a blatant disregard for trash left on our property. They failed to return calls/texts promptly and sometimes we didn’t hear back from them for weeks. We experienced frequent delays, ignored concerns, and not taking responsibility for issues like ordering the wrong window (and their professed ability to obtain this exact window is one of the reasons we chose them). They also completely overlooked part of our project (a small closet turned into a pantry) by not ordering any shelves even after the cabinet company told them multiple times that they never measured for them. They overlooked details like the floor transition not being flush and part of our old door frame wall is still there and shouldn’t be. Our project didn’t seem like a priority, more like an afterthought that they didn’t care about. They did not adhere to project timel

Good onsite workers that kept us aware of all work progress, kept site clean and delivered project as agreed upon time and price.

Room Smith was quite easy to work with. My finished product is excellent and I love spending evenings in my new room. There were a couple of minor hiccups but they were easily overcome and it didn’t deter the overall project.

These guys have integrity. They are collaborative and communicate to ensure that what you order is what you wanted. The process was quick and they stuck to their timeline. Everyone on site was polite and professional. I would recommend them in the future.

Lead carpenter is very good and the business is lucky to have him. Customer service and project management is very frustrating. I was verbally told after signing the contract for what was also verbally told a simple and small project (new composite deck) that the project would be complete in 1 week. 2 months later we ended up with a very nice deck thanks to quality carpenter. The amount of time and energy I had to pull away from my job several times over the span of 8 weeks to be sure things were going to be complete before winter (project started 2nd week of September and was supposed to start first week of September, ended first week of November). There were some hiccups with receiving poor materials that increased the delays but was more so on poor project management. Details of the project were not relayed properly from ownership to labor. I spent more time than I needed to during the project helping the labor understand details that the ownership should have spent time with upfront. Every time I question delay after delay after delay, I was given excuses that did not align with what the labor communicated. I would have spent a little more with another business on this project that would have shown the integrity to just finish the project rather than dragging it out for as long as it did. They did not explain any delays unless I asked why the information they gave me did not align with what was really happening. The owner really did not want to report any of this to me and it really felt like our project was in his way of other projects. It was a pretty terrible feeling. Owner had a concrete guy who poured footings and a landing at the bottom of the stairs of the deck collect a progress check. The landing had to be poured twice due to not doing it correct the first time. It took forever to schedule the second attempt. One person showed up at a time I was lucky to be home and wanted to know correct measurements for the second attempt. Nobody told me the time or day he was showing, actually they did and there was days of no-shows. That happened often. Anyways - anyone deciding to hire Roomsmith, I hope you receive work from their lead carpenter. And hope they respectfully communicate all complications with project management up front. I kept receiving new information along the way. I see a lot of reviews happy with the end result, which I am too. If you want truthful information and good craftsmanship, go elsewhere. If you dont care about truthful information, customer service, and timeliness, but quality work in the end, Roomsmith is the way to go. The owner will likely respond and tell me I was not happy from day 1 to cover himself. This was not true, I was unhappy after several delays that had nothing to do with materials but project priority and management. His ego does not permit him to admit it so he gets a long drawn out poor review from me that matches the long drawn out project.

The project of replacing a small deck was begun July 7th. A simple deck which is still not finished! The railing is not attached and is unsafe, plus many other issues. I should not have, but did pay them in full. Response to the issues with this project have gone unanswered. Two scheduled appts for them to look at the issues, they did not keep. Yes, Eric was very friendly but...

Roomsmith was amazing to work with. They designed and constructed exactly what I had in mind. We replaced our old rotted deck with an amazing sun filled porch. We had never contracted such a large project before and Mike was always available to answer my questions. Start to finish it was a long process but so worth it! All the different crews were so talented and easy to work with. We already using them again for our hail damaged roof.

These guys are outstanding and friendly people. The results are great and they are creative in their own ways planning out creative solutions to fix problems. My rental property was in good hands from the beginning and I have no regrets choosing these guys to take care of the place.

Eric and Mike was great though out this project, I would hire them in a heartbeat, canâ t say it enough awyjob

Eric listened to my wishlist of things I wanted in a garage and turned them into reality.  I wanted lots of light for working on various projects and three windows and two skylights gave me just what I wanted.  Three different crews took on the   cement work, framing, and finish; each did their jobs well and took the time to answer questions.  I couldn't be more pleased with the final result and yes I would  hire them for future projects. 

Hired Roomsmith after getting a clear estimate that included several different projects in our house. They gave me good ideas and design advice ð . Team worked quickly and did a great job!

Entire basement remodel including bathroom. Also added a front porch and stairs to my home. Great quality and workmanship. The transformation in the basement is amazing. It took a lot of creative workmanship to get every inch out of the space in the basement. Especially with the challenge of getting every inch out of the ceiling height. The porch and stairs they put in transformed the use of that space and curb appeal. Exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Room Smith.
