Michelle and her assistant, sue, were very professional and accommodating with my 2 month old son who had very wiggly legs throughout the shoot, making it a bit of a challenge. The backdrops were simple and elegant, and photos turned out beautifully!

It went very well. I'm not the most photogenic of subjects but she did a professional job and I'm happy with the results.

She suggested colors for our clothing to maximize outside photos, arranged many settings, encouraged lots of smiles and was very creative arranging our family which included young children through grand parents. I would use her services again because she knows how to capture the best in her subjects.

Michelle did an excellent job from start to finish. She recommended an excellent set of locations for taking the photos. She arrived on time. She spent well over an hour taking various photos at a variety of locations. They all came out very good. She takes her craft seriously and it shows in the quality of her service and photos.

Michelle was a real pleasure to work with. She was very responsive, answering all our e-mails promptly. She asked about the style of photo we wanted and suggested potential locations. The photos are beautiful and we highly recommend having Michelle take your photos.

Michelle is very professional.  She made the photo shoot very easy and comfortable.  My appointment was on a Friday and I had proofs on Sunday to review.  Final edits only took 2 days.  The pictures turned out great.  Great investment.

The shoot was fast and efficient, with great results.  Obviously Michelle has had lots of experience, and it shows.  She is very friendly and happy to do whatever is needed to make the shoot successful.  She knew exactly how the subject should be positioned, how to optimize and enhanced the lighting if needed. and had great rapport with the subject (me), The only problem was having to decide which photos to choose, as they were all great. I'll be brining my family back for some group photos, and I know they will be as good as my portrait session.

Michelle took a wide range of shots both indoors and out. We were able to view them online and make our selection of those we wanted printed.  She was very professional in her work and  took time to make sure we were relaxed and comfortable so the photos came out looking natural.  We both recommed her highly, no matter what the occasion.

I had a horrible experience with a photographer through a Groupon and reached out to Michelle because of her reviews here. She was very sympathetic of our experience and worked hard to make sure we didn't experience the same thing. We were a few minutes late to the shoot and she was completely laid back and understood that we had made a wrong turn.
She got great shots of my kids outside, even though my 18 month old doesn't like to smile for the camera. We haven't had family photos in over 2 years, and I love the pictures she took!
I contacted her on a Tuesday and asked her if she could send me a digital copy of a family photo even though I had just sent her the check because my son needed a family photo for school the next day. Instead of just sending me the one photo, she sent me all of my photos.
She is kind, talented and professional. I would recommend her to anyone!

I found Michelle through Angie's list and chose her based on the reviews. I am so glad I did! We needed to update our family photos because the kiddo is growing up faster every year. Michelle was responsive and available with openings when I needed them. We had the option of using a location of our choosing, Michelle's back yard (which is lovely) or the Maplewood nature center. We chose the nature center. Michelle guided us through every part of the process, from outfit selections to the photo session. The actual photo shoot was so much fun and Michelle really captured the essence of my 8 year old daughter. There were a wide variety of photos to choose from - classic and traditional poses to fun and spontaneous ones. There were so many amazing ones I couldn't decide, so I purchased the entire digital file :) The sitting fee was absolutely reasonable and the price for the entire shoot was absolutely worth it. Michelle is going to be our new go-to and maybe we might be better at getting our family pictures done yearly!

Michelle was very professional.  She arrived on time, set up equipment and took [pictures during and after the wedding.  She went through the list of people we furnished and got the photos taken without wasting any time.

Within one week we received photos via Drop Box and now must choose the best ones.  All photos are great and we look forward to doing the selection.

My husband and I hired Michelle to photograph our wedding.  Our wedding was small, and therefore we were looking for an appropriately sized photography package.  Michelle offered different packages on her website including one for small weddings.  We felt this was very affordable and exactly what we were looking for.  Additionally, the package included a 2nd professional photographer and ownership of all the final images.  Both these items were important to us.  From the first time we spoke on the phone through to the wedding day, Michelle was prompt, professional, and enthusiastic.  She listened to what we wanted (or didn't want).  Following our wedding, Michelle had our final images completely finished and sent to us in 1 week.  Lastly, but certainly not least, the photos were absolutely beautiful!

We were very happy with the photos! Michelle and her assistant were very professional, and I always felt my baby was very safe as they worked at getting the shots. Be sure to let Michelle know at the beginning what you want to get out of the session, as she is very amenable to your wishes. Will definitely be going back!

Michelle did a fantastic job photographing our family of five.  We knew our one-year-old would be a challenge, but Michelle came prepared with hand puppets, face masks, and toys.  She spent an hour with us outside our home and captured several wonderful moments.  She has been a pleasure to work with from initial contact to final delivery of the digital pictures.  I highly recommend her.

Very professional work in photographer's home studio and quick turnaround of finished photos.  Photographer took numerous photos over a half-hour period, with different angles, poses and backgrounds.  Provided me electronically with 36 options to choose from, then cropped and touched up my three top choices.  Sent the finished photos to me electronically for me to save to my own files and use as I wish.  Excellent service.

My initial contact with Riedel Photography was by email.  Response was very quick and follow up emails answered all of my questions.   Michelle agreed to an on location photo shoot in Minneapolis down by St. Anthony on Main.  She was familiar with the area and new of some places to take photos.  
Michelle is very detailed in her techniques when taking photos.  She is very particular about the lighting.  They day we had the photos taken it was sunny and she was very honest about stating was would turn out and what wouldn't.  She said that being in the direct sunlight would cause some squinting, which would make for a great photo, she didn't want to waste too much time on it.
In the end, the photos turned out fantastic.  There are photos of my son in standing, sitting. laying on the ground and walking poses.  Michelle found a variety of backgrounds to use in that location, such as trees, greenery, brick walls and underneath the bridge.     She also found different colors to pull into the photos from leaves that were turning red and the background of the metal on the bridge.
We ended up purchasing the photo proof book, an 8x10, a couple 5x7s and some wallets.  We couldn't happy with the quality of the printed photos.

As above. Timely and professional. Impressed by the creative use of her photographer's  tools (filters)   to achieve the  right  background color to compliment a website palette.

Michelle was very responsive and professional. She took photos in her studio and at a nature preserve close to her studio.  We were very happy with the wide selection of shots and quality of the photos.  She kept us informed, made the photos available online very quickly, and was easy to work with.  I highly recommend her.

I called with relatively short notice for a photographer and she was able to fit us in on a Sunday for a maternity session. I brought my temperamental five year old and husband and she was wonderful working with what was available. She has a wonderful home studio and lot of fun items and props to keep a child of any age entertained and smiling. It has been less than a week and I already have access to purchase our photos and they all look soo wonderful. I would recommend Michelle for any occasion and plan to go back for many more family sessions in the future.

I contacted Michelle and received a prompt reply to my inquiry with pricing for the business portrait.  During the appointment she asked for my feedback on poses to make sure I was satisfied.  She took about 50 pictures in three or four poses.  At the conclusion of the appointment I selected the four pictures I preferred.  She edited the pictures and emailed them to me two days later.
