Project was handled very well - Regal (Mike) is very experienced. Communications, planning, and scheduling are clear and smooth. The quality of the work is very very good. Mike is knowledgeable, helpful, and flexible - you can count on him. The crew is skilled, and a pleasure to work with. All in all, the results were great, on time, on budget. Regal Remodelers worked on a bathroom project I had, and I couldn’t be more delighted with their work, and their staff. Mike was very responsive when I left a message, and throughout the work he was clear in his communication about the process and timing. His team was courteous, friendly, and finished up earlier than the predicted timeline. I was concerned about the mess however Regal went over and above to keep the mess to a minimum with protective covering and daily clean up. I will definitely call them again for future projects!

I live in a 1910 relatively modest home in Mac Groveland part of St. Paul. My bathroom was a 1970s disaster. I have lived in the house for many years and had been putting off redoing the bathroom for way too long. I am a novice on home repair/design but knew that I finally had to do something about it. I set up an appointment to talk to Mike. He was able to make time within a couple days and came at a time convenient to me. I sensed immediately that he was extremely capable and he made some great suggestions. He had a very low key “non-slick” approach. He wrote up a cost estimate within 2-3 days. It seemed reasonable and I decided to go for it. I saw that they had very positive reviews on Angie’s List. The project came out extremely well. It really looks great and everything works very well. One of the things I really appreciated about Mike was that he did not sugar coat me – no bait and switch. As an example, this is my only bathroom, so I knew I would be without a bathroom for most of the duration of the work. When Mike said it would be six weeks I gulped hard and made a negative, questioning comment. He could have said “we’ll shoot for three-four weeks and hope for the best” but he stuck to his original estimate and explained the complexities of permits, etc. And sure enough, it was six weeks. Bob was the on-site foreman for the work. He also has a very low key and not slick. Once the work was well underway I did most of my coordinating with Bob. Bob was extremely responsive. Whenever I sent him a text, I would get a very prompt response. Even if he did not have an answer right away, he would never let my text hang out there. Most of the work was done when I was at work but I met some of the crew and they were good, respectful guys. There were a couple hiccups, but I don’t fault Regal for them. I was going through a few challenges at the time and was pretty distracted and, as mentioned, very naïve about home projects. The items were taken care of quickly and without complaint. Obviously it is very disruptive to have a key room in your house ripped up – but they did a great job with dust control and leaving things as tidied up as possible at the end of each day. I think the price was very fair. My neighbor got two estimates about a year ago to do a pretty similar bathroom project and the quotes he had gotten were $10-15 thousand higher than my quote from Regal. Their sub-contractors did a great job, notably the tile guy and the plumber. Electrician must have been fine since everything works! All were positive, friendly folks. As I mentioned, Mike had some great suggestions that I would not have thought of, and when I made a couple dumb suggestions, he respectfully steered me in the right direction as I see now. In sum, I would recommend these guys very highly to anyone. Not slick talkers, just good guys who know what the **** they are doing, do things the right way in a respectful manner, and for a fair price. What else do you want in a contractor?

Overall, it went extremely well. The timeline was extended, but this was for reasons outside of our control and included unknown issues with our roof joists and some minor permitting issues. Again, these types of items you don't know until you begin the remodel process, and although we had that expectation Mike was sure to communicate that to us initially as well. With any project, the key to success is communication. Mike and his team were always responsive when I left a message and there was always action taken and is always fair. Anybody with a comment suggesting otherwise must have had a situation where the homeowner was being unrealistic or unreasonable. This was why we chose Regal - we had three bids, and we realized very quickly that the only individual that called back asking more questions to ensure everything was what we thought it should be, etc. was Regal. We translated that to good communication, and they excelled. The work was done well, at a reasonable cost, and we would strongly recommend to others. If we do more work in our house, we will not consider working with other contractors regardless of the cost. We've had numerous compliments and have been able to say "Regal Remodelers is who we used!" numerous times. Thanks for the great work.

I contacted Regal Remodelers because they had all A’s on Angies List. Mike responded to my email for an estimate right away, and came out to look at our shower shortly thereafter. Our master bath shower looked like it could be leaking, or would soon start leaking, as there were slightly bulging tiles in several areas. It felt urgent to take care of this as the tiles had been bulging for a very long time. We were hoping to get this resolved without spending a lot of money. Mike took the conservative route to resolve our problem, which we really appreciated. He sent his tile man out, and they gave us an estimate which fit our budget. From the beginning of the project, to the end, Mike and Ken did an excellent job of communication. We always knew what was going to happen, and when. Regal Remodelers did all the work so we relaxed and knew the job was being done absolutely right. Ken replaced tile and wallboard, caulked and colorized shower floor, installed new door, repaired cracked tile on main floor, and colorized main floor. A plumber was brought in to replace the old plumbing. Our old shower is now a new shower since it was completely gutted and replaced with the exception of the floor. We are delighted!

Mike and his carpenter Bob were great to work with. - The agreed upon costs never changed. Mike did a great job estimating costs and brought in an electrician to evaluate before we signed the contract. - All of the issues we had were resolved quickly. - The project moved quickly and as planned minus the unavoidable minor hiccups that were no ones fault. - Mike's employees and his subcontractors were all polite and conducted themselves well. - They did a good job keeping things clean throughout the project and the guys cleaned up what they could every night. I would highly recommend Regal Remodeling. This was our first major project and we were nervous about working with a contractor. Both Mike and Bob were very available and responsive through the whole project. They also really stand behind their work. After the project had concluded we noticed that our doorbell wasn't working and Mike contacted the electrician right away and got it fixed. Tip- We did all of the painting and pre-stained our baseboards. Even so, don't be afraid to ask questions. I learned a lot about using mud on walls and got advice for painting in awkward places. Take advantage of their knowledge!

We had Mike out this summer (June 2015) to work on a large project. We added a half bath and a mud room off the back of our first floor. We also redid our deck, all of our siding, and the gutter system on our two-and-a-half story home. The project required a number of different stages (demo, foundation, framing/building, plumbing, electric, etc.) as well as a number of different members of Mike's team. Despite the size and complexity of the project, it progressed rapidly and efficiently. We had some delays due to inspectors and changes that we requested along the way. We added significant projects midstream (rehabbing and replacing our front doors and storm door, various staining and painting projects) that Mike was happy to tackle. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or rehire Mike for three reasons: 1. The quality of the work is high, 2. He is extremely flexible in terms of making accommodations to a project, and 3. His team is diligent and truly cares about their finished product.

Mike Williams the president of Regal Remodelers contracted with Joe and Antonio to tear out and build. Jerry was a diligent plumber who went above and beyond to make things work well and fit in tight surroundings, Neal was the able electrician, Ken did sheet-rock painting varnishing--finishing work. He fixed my ceiling and the new door to look nice and fit the space. They all did a good job and were easy to have around. The fellows from the flooring Co. were also easy to work with and knew what they were doing. NOTE:The cost includes the additional flooring I had done at the same time by the J.O.Thompson It does not include toilet, sink, light fixture and bathroom accessories. In doing it over I would contract for more clean-up of my garage which was a work area. Because I have not had such a project before I have little to compare it with as far as price. I believe Regal to be fair.

Consummate craftsmen and exceptional project managers, start to finish. Loved the crew - Bob, Antonio, Joey, Pavel and others. They came up with creative solutions that made our space more usable and feel bigger than it was. Our new kitchen is now a WOW and not the eyesore, outdated place it was. Highly recommended and we will definitely use them again.

Regal Remodelers did an excellent job. They treated us very professionally and followed through on the entire design. They completed the project on a very tight schedule so that we could move back in to our bedroom. The work they did is absolutely beautiful. The first part of the story is not about Regal Remodelers, but when you see what happened, you will know how skilled the folks at Regal are. Keep reading. We live in an arts-and-crafts type house, built in 1909, in Merriam Park. We had a nice, new bathroom installed by the previous owner. We?ve lived here four years. We had a rather short claw foot tub with an old-fashioned shower/shower-curtain assembly. We wanted a large soaking tub to replace the small tub, and a sauna and walk-in shower. We had rarely used spare bedrooms on either side of the current bathroom. (Ceramic tile on floor and wainscot.) We hired an architect who worked us through a number of different plans. We decided on one, and began to interview contractors, whom we had contacted at the annual remodeler?s convention. We chose one who gave us an estimate based on the architect?s plan. They seemed organized and competent. We did not use Angie?s List and read no reviews. They tore up our bathroom and half the floor of the spare bedroom. They disappeared for a day and came back to tell us that having opened up the floor and looked at the plumbing, they realized that they had grossly underestimated the cost of the job. We argued. I said that I had agreed to their services because of their claimed expertise and their estimate. I had reason to doubt the first, and the second was false. After two days they offered to null the contract and refund our full deposit, $8000. They obviously realized how badly they had screwed up. But now we had our house torn up, taking showers in the basement. This time we went to Angie?s List, interviewed a few contractors and chose Regal. The first thing they did was radically improve the design from the previous contractor (not the architect). The previous contractor had told us we had to have a six inch curb leading to the shower and sauna, because of the needed pitch to the drains. Mike at Regal brought in a plumber who works with him, Pavel. He looked at our house and in minutes derived a creative plan that did not require such a curb. Mike is meticulous about specifying everything in the contract. Assume nothing. He is really good at reminding you about costs that you might not have anticipated. He will do what you ask, but will not offer to warranty unwise choices. In those cases we were glad in retrospect that we listened. For instance, we wanted the glass shower wall to go to the ceiling. Mike was concerned about collected moisture. Now, using the shower, we realize that thanks to Mike we averted a disaster. Regarding sub-contractors and master mechanics in his employ, they are to a person professional both in their skill and knowledge, creativity, and their manner when in our house. One man, Ken (tile man, rough carpenter, painter, master of many construction skills), practically lived in our house for two months. The finish carpenter (can?t remember his name) matched the complicated trim around the windows and doors. Pavel, I mentioned already, the electrician crew, everyone, terrific. Mike (who managed the job, the boss) also collaborated with my wife and me (especially my wife) on design choices. Mike and his crew were very responsive to our questions and concerns. He always called back. The job took a long time, and that is very disruptive, but they made the pain less than it might have been. The results are everything we had hoped. My wife and I loved the house before, and now it is nearly perfect. We are so grateful to Regal Remodelers for helping make this possible.

We contracted with Regal Remodelers, Inc., owned and operated by Mike Williams (Mike), to upgrade two upstairs bathrooms that were original to the home construction (approximately 20 years old), and are very pleased with the result. Mike takes a personal, hands-on approach to all work performed by Regal, and our satisfaction was driven by four key factors. First, Mike strives for the elimination of any cost surprises. The scope of work is detailed up-front. Remodeling projects almost invariably get "tweeked" as they proceed. In our case, we expanded the use of stone tile in one bath and added a larger tub. To avoid subsequent "sticker shock," Mike made certain, up front, that we understood the additional costs involved and factored them into our decision to modify the scope of work. Second, Mike does an excellent job of coordinating the work. Our remodeling project involved a designer, several craftsmen and the delivery of building materials and fixtures coming from a number of suppliers. The key is coordinating the delivery of materials with craftsmen at the job site. To keep the job progressing, Mike made a number of personal trips to pick up materials to ensure on-time availability for his craftsmen. Third, Mike has assembled a strong team. We were particularly impressed by his tiler who is both an artisan and a perfectionist. At the end of each day he worked, we looked forward to seeing the literal metamorphosis of our bathrooms taking place. Fourth, Mike emphasizes communication with his clients. He carries a cell phone and used it extensively to keep us apprised of scheduling, to solicit our input on important decisions, and to make himself available promptly for any questions or concerns we had. Overally, we're pleased with our decision to use Regal Remodelers and plan to use them again when we upgrade our first floor powder room as a follow-on project.

We could not be more pleased with Regal Remodelers. The quality of the work is superb, they were always accessible by phone and never failed to return a few minutes after leaving a message. The workers were prompt, professional, and pleasant. Our principal contact, Mike Williams, was direct and upfront about pricing and remodeling options at all stages. There were no nasty surprises. The workers were there on the scheduled work dates and the work proceeded without interruption or any hitches. There was one incident that illustrates how honest the company is. The tape used to secure the floor mats ended up taking some varnish off the wood floors. Mike did not balk at redoing the floors at his expense. There was no bargaining or trying to evade. We were ready to argue our case with him but he just okay and took care of it. Throughout, Mike and his team worked hard to ensure that we were entirely happy with the result. He communicated almost daily with us, filling us in on the progress. In the end we were very pleased with the team he assembled and delighted with the finished project. This was a costly remodel and we feel we got more than our money's worth out of it. We have now contracted with Regal to do additional work and will look to them again for any future work. We are convinced that we chose the right contractor and give them our highest, unqualified recommendation.

everything went very well, from our first meeting which was the day after we called, to the end of the job. The timeline was met, they were helpful with a couple of design ideas, and flexable with changes we made during the process. Mike was great to work with and Bob and Tony the carpenters were the best, and we used their suggestions on design questions. All the crews that came in through Regal were great, the painters, floor installers and refinishers, electricians, and the tile guys. I wish I could be more precise and thank a few more of the guys by name, but it's been sometime since this was done. I thought I wrote a review at the time of completion, but must have missed a step or something
