This company was among about 10 who provided an estimate for window replacements. They provided the best estimate and planned to install a brand name window that has excellent ratings online. Once the contract was signed, they followed through appropriately and kept to the agreed to schedule. On the day of installation, the only issue was that the installers showed up 2 hours late. Once they got started however, they were very thorough in dealing with the removal and installation of the windows. They were very meticulous about covering all furtniture and rugs in the house in areas where they were working. They completed the work that day and did a thorough job of cleaning up and removing debris. The owner of the company came by before the isntallers were done to check on the work. I plan to use them again next year for more window replacements.4 c

movePride Home Solutions sent Wade out to my house, he's the owner, who looked at my patio door. It's been broken for a while, but I haven't gotten it replaced because it's a non standard size. He said that it wasn't a problem, because Soft-Lite made custom sized patio doors at very reasonable prices. I had him measure the door, and he showed me the price and options. I chose a double pane door, with argon gas. It only took a few days for the door to come in after he ordered it, and the installers did a great job. The door looks great, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

They showed up on time for the estimate and spent time understanding the job. The estimate was reasonable and provided options with pros & cons for each choice. After they were selected they were prompt in responding and scheduling. They showed up on-time as promised and completed the work under their schedule. After they were finished they walked me through their work to show me exactly what was done. They did a great job.

The experience was great. I had several contractors bid on all these jobs, but Pride seemed to be the only one that was interested in how each component was going to affect the others. They kept talking about how my house worked as "a unit," making sure I understood that using insulated siding along with properly insulating the attic would keep the house cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. They made sure I understood the differences between a regular window from a contractor and the windows they installed. And they made sure I understood how these improvements would not only look great, but would save me money every month on my utilities, and increase the value of my house. I'm very satisfied. We already feel a difference, it's so much warmer in the house. And we're seeing a change in our heating bills too. The house looks great, and the all the work was done so quickly and professionally. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Had some insulating done, very professional from estimate to instilation. Although little slow on actual scheduling of job but overall a good expierence,

I am neutral about the overall experience. I was not greatly disappointed, nor impressed. The communication between the salesman and the installer was not great. The overall quality of the work was alright.

The project was scheduled following the completion of a home energy audit. Due to the rebates available in 2010, most companies were booked out a long time in advance. Pride confirmed they had time prior to the end of the year, and would schedule closer to the availability date. Scheduling the date took repeated phone calls, and the rebate forms were originally sent to the incorrect address. The work itself was well done, and it was completed very quickly. The technicians were organized, and thorough when cleaning following completion. The reviewed the process with me prior to getting started, and went through what had been done for my approval afterward.

Chris, the owner (I think I have the name right), came out to give the bid and he was great, very personal and upfront. He knew about all the rebates that were being offered, so that helped (although I knew them already too.) They were efficient, timeline, when we got a time scheduled for install - though we had to maybe wait a month because of his availability, which was fine. Half up front, half at the end, could pay via credit card (which was nice - extra points!). Overall, very pleased.

I had both windows replaced and installation installed by this company, and had vastly different experiences with each. I have filed the windows report separately. I had no insulation in my attic, saw Pride Energy Solutions at a home show and they came out for a quote. The sales guy was punctual, professional, detail oriented, friendly and answered everything. Very impressive. The insulation subcontractors were fast, professional, pumped it all in, cleaned up their mess, and I've saved an absolute fortune on energy bills since. My house is cooler in summer (it was awfully hot) and my heating bills are cheaper in winter. Well done. Note: Date is approximate, it was around the beginning of summer in 2010

This company also did insulation for me, and it was great so I have created a separate report for them under that category. The salesman was good, took his time and went into details about things I was clueless about (R-values etc). He gave me plenty of information and a nice package. He answered questions, called me back on things, generally I had a very good feeling about it. There did seem to be a bit of a delay in them calling and scheduling, I was at the stage where it was "where are my windows?" but they scheduled and turned up exactly when they said they would. I can't remember the exact date but it was around July 2010. The guys who came were nice & personable and cleaned up after themselves. It took a bit longer than they expected but that was all. I was even considering having one of the guys come out and do my siding (he was a subcontractor who had his own business). There were a few of issues. Firstly, when they cut the new hole for my new, bigger window, they left a great big hole with no trim. I called about it, and it was explained to me that they had mentioned during the meeting that they didn't do drywall. There were 2 problems with this - firstly they used a different term to drywall that I hadn't heard before (mea culpa - I'm not from Minnesota and I grew up in city full of brick houses with plaster walls, so didn't know all the terminology) and secondly when I thought about it, if somebody made that claim to me I would be thinking of small holes that they didn't fill, not a five foot long by 1 foot wide hole in my wall. Chris (the owner) offered to send somebody out but I figured that if I was dumb enough not to understand the terms, I had to sort it out myself (though if I'd realised that would be what happened, I'd have gone with somebody else because I have no idea how to do drywall). They also don't paint the trim, so I did it myself and now have very badly painted trim. Seriously, how many professional painters are going to come out and do the trip for 2 or 3 windows for me? Lesson learned. Second issue: A few months after the windows were installed my boyfriend kindly did the dry wall for me, I painted it, and it looked great. When we went to put on the piece of trim that wasn't attached by the contractor, it was a completely different thickness, didn't fit the space (gaps at the joints) and had a big shoe imprint on it. We called the Chris the owner, and after a few problems with miscommunication, we had somebody out (on a Saturday) who replaced all the trim pieces for the dining room window. Chris made a big effort to make things right by me once he found out there was something wrong. They now look great, though of course they still have to be painted. The windows have worked out well. They are very good at keeping the cold out in winter, and the hot afternoon sun out in August. It has helped both my energy bills and the comfort of the house. The reasons I didn't give Pride an A were because I felt that for the money I paid, they should have done the shole shebang - fixed the drywall and painted the trim. Whilst this was mentioned in the initial sales interview (no dodgy tactics) as a new home owner I didn't really understand what it all meant, and if I have to do it again, I'll make sure whomever I use will take care of everything, and not leave me with a to-do list for drywall and painting. If Pride want to change their service offering to include this - I will be happy to have them do my next 3 windows. If this is stuff is easy for you to take care of - or if all window companies are like this - then I would certainly recommend Pride. Please note this review was updated after Chris had my trim replaced.
