O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME

I contacted O'Halloran and Murphy because I had been to previous services at their Snelling Avenue facility, and liked how they handled things. I contacted them about their experience with servicing communities of color in the Twin Cities area, and I received a personal email from one of the named partners. They were very responsive and sensitive to my needs, including helping me to determine if my husband could be buried at Arlington National cemetery, as well as other options for burial out of town, and for military rights. Josh Fossum, with whom I worked, was extremely informative and knowledgeable concerning the entire process of arranging for a memorial service, and they were very flexible in terms of my specific needs and desires. Most importantly for me, Josh, who worked with me to set things up, has a marvelous sense of humor, which made our celebration of my husband's life so much more easy. I am certain that he could be equally somber if the need was there, but it was nice to know that he could laugh along with us. The same was true for Frank, and others who assisted me on the day of the memorial services and afterward. As follow up, I got a call just this week from Sister Peg (?) (am not sure if I got name right), who called to check on me and offer me resources for grief counseling. The only place where I would say they could make a little improvement is in the posting of the obituary -- they took mine verbatim and forgot to add my husband's age or date of date, and I do not recall being given instructions on how to access their website to view electronic postings from friends. But they were excellent overall in their care and treatment, and I would definitely recommend them.

They are very helpful in every respect. They don't try to upsell you and they help you get what you need and are very kind people.
