Very happy with their service. My garage door spring broke and I had no idea where to look. So, I posted on the Next Door app asking for suggestions. A couple of people suggested Nothern Door Company. I'm very happy I took their recommendations and called Nothern Door. The tech guy, Lance, came in the next day. Very friendly. He replaced the spring and tightened up the door hinges (the door is old and is falling apart) for a reasonable price. It was done in 30 minutes. I will definitely go back to them next time I need help with my garage door.

They called ahead of time like I asked. They arrived within the time frame they said they would. They replaced a circuit board instead of replacing the whole garage door opener. (some companies might have said that I needed a new opener, but not this company. They fixed it and I am happy. And it cost less to repair it than a new one. I have used them 4 to 5 times prior. For my own home (new opener, replace broken spring, routine maintenance). Plus a small apartment building has a new garage door opener installed by them. All the times of repairs or installation went very well.

I had been having problems with my entry pad for several months.  It worked only intermittently.  Then, this weekend, it did not work at all.  When I tried to recode it, everything was erased.  Yesterday afternoon, when I called the company, one of the employees gave me directions on how to recode it myself without my having to pay for a service call.  She was very patient and waited until I had gone through the procedure.  When it still did not work, she set  up an appointment with a technician for the earliest possible time I could be available today.  The technician arrived right on schedule. He assessed the situation and discovered that not only was the key pad not working, but that the gear shaft had deteriorated and was dangerously close to crashing onto my car and the garage floor.  He replaced both the gear shaft and the entry pad and then recoded the system for me.  It took only 30 minutes - and gave me peace of mind!

In a word, perfectly.  The vendor was able to exactly match the panels and make all the repairs, replacing only what was needed.  Since I half expected to need an entirely new door (and then perhaps also replace the adjoining single door so it would match), I was very pleased that these folks were able to do some research and find the exact replacement panels (same color, too).

They came with 24 hours notice and were half the price of the first company that we had contacted who said it would be $200 just for them to show up. The service man from Northern door listened closely to what we had done to diagnose and fix the problem.  He then worked on it for less than an hour and fixed the problem by stabilizing the vertical runner on one side of the door.

Very happy with the entire experience. It's the quietest garage door on Earth! Love it.

I needed this job done quickly and efficiently and Northern Door Company did both of those things perfectly.

Arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with our garage door was a broken torsion spring inside the tube spanning the top of the door. Offered to replace in kind (est. $200) or upgrade with a more robust "external" spring arrangement (est. $300). As the broken spring was only six years old, I decided to upgrade. They returned later that same day, as promised, with a two-man crew to replace the springs. While they were here, they lubricated the wheels and swapped two that were installed incorrectly by the home builder. The door is now quieter than ever. The technicians Ron and Lance were friendly, competent and fast. I would use Northern Door again (but secretly hope the need never arises)!

The technician replaced both torsion springs and torsion cables. He did a great job, explained what he did and why, very professional.

Provider tried to fix broken garage door opener chain first. It turned out to be too short. He had the replacement part in his truck. He did  a very fine job. He definitely knew what he was doing.

The process went very smoothly. The installer was very professional, experienced, and efficient. The overall service was excellent from scheduling to service delivery.

Fantastic.  I would definitely use them again.  The price was right and the service was professional.

Everything went fine.  I was very pleased with their quick response as there was a snow storm coming and I did not want to leave my cars in the driveway and my snowblower behind a door that wouldn't move.  They did give me a discount for being a member of Angie's List.
