I was impressed with their service. They were punctual and professional.

Montgomery responded to a small "emergency" situation. We had a problem with a kitchen light that needed electrical expertise. A do it yourself fix was not possible. This was just days before a major holiday party. We called Montgomery and they sent an expert electrician to the house, fixed the problem within an hour and installed a new J-box and light fixture. We will use Montgomery again for any electrical need; highly recommend them for their expertise, professionalism and punctuality. They are my "first call" electrician from now on!!!!

He arrived on time, and talked to me about what I wanted to do. I had the fan and new power switch already, and just needed a hole cut in the ceiling of the bathroom, and the fan installed and wired. Everything was done as I hoped, and I have been using the fan for over a year.

They did a pretty extensive job for us. The job went all the way from March – July. They did all of the wiring on a remodeled bathroom and an added bathroom too. We also had some outlet added to other parts of the house. It was one guy who came out to do the work. Two companies initially came out to give us quotes and Montgomery Electric Inc. was the best out price that we go. He was the most knowledge. They were prompt, they did a good job and we absolutely use them again.

Contractor showed up time, promptly completed work, and even gave me a recommendation for another contractor on a follow-up service needed. In retrospect, I wish I would have shopped in the store in advance and have a couple of exhaust fan options. The contractor had a limited supply of exhaust fans.

Justin from Montgomery Electric arrived on time. I showed him the non-functioning outlet above the range for the OTR microwave. I mentioned that my father in law had noticed a wire in the garage that was not connected to anything that may be the reason why the outlet wasn't working. Justin checked the wire in the garage and sure enough it was the wire for the outlet. He installed a new box and then connected the line across to the breaker box. He was very professional, cleaned up after himself, and also answered additional questions I had about non-functioning outlets in the garage, low voltage outdoor lights that didn't work and GFCI outlets. The quality of work was exceptional and the price was very reasonable. He wasn't able to take a closer look at the outdoor outlets at that appointment but I will definitely scheduled another time for him to come back to fix those outlets and take a look at a few other things that need to be fixed/updated.

Montgomery Electric was on time for estimate and to complete the work. They left the house as clean, if not cleaner, than when they arrived. No sparks and no smoke so I would have to say they did it correctly. I would definitely use them again for any electrical work that I couldn't or didn't want to do by myself. A+

I called Montgomery Electric and he came out the same day to give me a quote. He was very professional and friendly. He not only was willing to do the job I asked but he made sugestions about lighting and other issues that the architect forgot. After getting multiple quotes, he was the best price and also the friendliest. I often will hire a more expensive pro just to get somebody I like, but with Montgomery I was able to get both. I made several changes to the plan after the initial quote and he was very responsive to my questions and always responded to my Emails faster than I expectited him too. On the day of the job, his employee showed up right on time, was very nice, and got right to work. The job was done very quickly and he did not leave any mess ,(that was impressive in itself due to the home being under renovation.) I was looking to replace my electrical service panel (full) . I am making home upgrades and needed additonal circuits on the other side of the house; potentially very expensive. Scott came out and suggested installing a utility area sub-panel closer to the project to eliminate the need for a service panel upgrade($$$) and to shorten the length of the new additonal circuit runs. This saved me money and eliminated the need for me to tear up existing structure to get a number of new runs back to the old service panel. Two days later the new subpanel was in, inspected and I was ready to go. I was very impressed by the service, the great idea and the fact it saved me a lot of money. A great job!

Because I did not ask Scott to stop by to see exactly what I wanted him to do, the estimate was uncertain. It depended on how extensive the work would be to replace the exhaust fans. As it turned out, he was able to save considerable time and expense by not having to do any duct work. I had already purchased the light fixture but Scott provided the exhaust fans. Scott was very thorough and kept us advised of what he was doing. He completed the work as requested.

Scott came in and did a great job at a fair price and answered lots of questions. I would highly recommend him and will have him out again to take care of some other items.

We contacted Scott Montgomery for an estimate to install a ceiling fan in our master bedroom. The ceiling is vaulted and there was no pre-existing wiring or support structure present. Scott did not provide a fixed price estimate, but rather an estimate of the fixed price items (materials, switches, circuit breaker, city permit) and his hourly rate ($99 for the first hour, $75 for each hour thereafter). Scott then provided an approximate range of hours it would take to complete the work, depending upon the challenges encountered with the installation. He took his time in explaining the work required, and offered different options on how to do the installation. He stated that he generally needed about a one week lead notification to schedule work. We elected to have Scott perform the ceiling fan installation and he was available within a week of our call to schedule the work. Upon his arrival we requested that he also install a ceiling fan in a second upstairs bedroom and a light fixture in a third upstairs bedroom. Neither location was pre-wired. Scott and his partner completed the installation wiring and other preparations in one day - the bulk of the time being spent on the vaulted ceiling install. We then had a different contractor in the home for various drywall repairs - this contractor repaired the approx 2'x3' hole in the ceiling Scott had to cut to wire and build up the support structure for the ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Once the drywall work was complete we called Scott back out to finish the installations. He was available on fairly short (2-3 day) notice. We are very satisfied with the work he did. The "A" on price is based on what we think is a reasonable hourly rate for his professional services rather than comparison of competing bids. He did also provide a discount for Angie's List members. Scott provided all materials and parts (wire, circuit breakers, switches, etc) except the fans and light fixtures. Scott does use an assistant/partner who did a portion of the work.

I was very happy with everything and will use them again in the future.

Arrived on time, installed everything quickly, and made sure all alarms were tied together correctly.

I emailed Scott the work I had to, clarified briefly before hand that he charges by the hour, via email, and agreed to have him do the work. A family member was home when he arrived, right on time, and he completed the work in a professional manner. My daughter asked if he had time to check the downstairs light switch for multiple recessed lights, and he agreed. He worked on that so the switch now works again. We were more than satisfied with the amount of work he was able to perform in the time he was here.

It was a great experience. The man knew what he was doing and I learned some things about how my house is wired.

I am extremely pleased with Scott and Justin. They are highly professional, ethical, and skilled. They explained their work in easy-to-understand terms. Their estimates were fair and reasonable. The end result of their work looks and performs exceptionally well. During the project they took care not to disturb any more sheetrock than was necessary, and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I plan on having them perform projects for me in the future. I couldn't be more pleased.

This project required specific scheduling to keep things moving on time, and Scott came through in a big way. There weren't any 2-3 hour windows- he was there when I needed him. He took very good care of the newly finished hardwood floors and newly enamelled island cabinetry. He's also the kind of person you WANT working in your home, and that's rare (as a contractor, I know!). My customer was very happy with the success of the project, and that's partly because of Scott's exceptional service.

I contacted Scott yesterday and he was able to come to our home first thing this morning. His staff, Justin, was a pleasant guy. He knew what he was doing. He quickly added two outlets in the garage in a nice way. He was able to do it quickly, without removing the sheet rock. Not only that, he was careful so that the outlets and adjacent switches line up correctly. Scott came in to check everything and brought the exhaust fan. The price mentioned in my report includes the cost of the exhaust fan. I had asked to check our heating and cooling control panel. Scott recommended another person who specializes in HVAC. Scott is an electrical engineer by training. We were very happy with the quick response, quality of the work and reasonable charge. I will set up another appointment with Scott to install several ceiling lights etc. UPDATE: Our first work with Scott was in September 2011. As we were very happy, in March 2012 we called Scott to replace a chandelier in our 20 feet tall foyer. We also wanted him to replace several sconce in the basement and replace several flush mount ceiling lights. Scott and Justin came in. Scott supervised the work and Justin continued with task. The work was very good. The cost was quite reasonable (about $400). Best of all, he came within a day's notice.

Scott came to our house the day after we requested a quote - and that was a Saturday. He provided the quote very quickly and the price was quite reasonable compared to other quotes we received. The work was scheduled exactly when we wanted and it was completed quickly and to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Montgomery Electric.

I received a call back within hours of requesting service. an appointment was set up, the technician showed up on time, did the work in a timely manner. The price was very fair for the service involved, the technician even asked if there was anything else to look at as long as he was here and covered under minimum service fee. Everything works like a charm. I am very satisfied.

I tried to complete a load of laundry at our recently purchased home. When I couldn't get the washer or dyer to go on (on the same outlet) I checked the circuit breaker. I found that the circuit breaker wasn't tripped and then started to panic. I am slightly paranoid about electrical. I searched Angie's List for an electrician that was in our area. I called Montgomery Electrical at 8:30 Saturday evening expecting voicemail. However, Scott quickly answered the phone, walked me through some troubleshooting ideas, and tried to calm me down. We scheduled an appointment for 1pm Sunday. Scott arrived on time and quickly went to work. The problem wasn't quickly located but Scott kept searching. In the end, we replaced 3 outlets as a precautionary measure, switching one to a GFCI outlet since it was near the laundry sink, and replaced the wiring between two outlets. I was extremely impressed with Scott's work. I will use his services again.

I had exceptional consultation, creative design and workmanship on this project with Scott Montgomery. His skill to ask the critical questions and analysis of the existing electrical infrastructure along with carefully clarifying what I was trying to achieve made this project run smoothly and effectively. Because of his keen listening and attention to design he was able to select or let me know where to go to get the perfect lighting for the area, even where the best value was for that particular light. It is a gift to have someone perform work at such a quality level- as if it was in his own home -- truly appreciated and what made this project standout for me. In addition, because I was adding some higher end lights --- he was diligent in knowing the existing power in my home and made special considerations for safety so that the electrical structure was sound, safe and efficient. I have not ever had to make any call backs after the work was completed because something was not working. That's real peace of mind for me. The project came in exactly on time, no stoppage - two days, and right at the proposed estimate. It has been a thrill this winter to have a comfortably warm master bath with the new heating light. And the other lighting has opened up areas in my home that I wasn't using effectively. I can hardly wait to entertain.
