I know they are not the cheapest but they are competitive. The wait time was about five minutes. The vet interacts well with my pet. They know my cat we have been using them since she was a kitten.

My cat has a history of a sensitive stomach. When I first adopted her 7 years ago I took her to another vet who almost immediately wanted to do exploratory surgery when blood tests and and x-rays didn't reveal the problem. I rejected that course of action thinking it quite extreme and successfully treated her with changes in diet for the next 7 years. Recently though, changing her diet hasn't been successful, so I took her to see Dr. Kelley at MIdway Hospital. He very thoroughly explained her chronic disease (irritable bowel disease), and laid out several courses of action (none of which were as extreme as exploratory surgery). I like that way that he takes time to explain things and leaves the decision up to the client. I believe he is moderate and realistic in his assessments and treatments and tests only as appropriate. He even called to follow up a few days later before he went on vacation to see how she was doing on her new prescription diet.

See above. Dr. Nolte knows our dogs well and is very responsive, answering all questions and giving us options to consider. She spends as much time as necessary. We are extremely happy with the care she's provided for our dogs for a number of years now, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else (except for the U of MN for some specialty care).

This is the 3rd vet I have taken my cat to. Not because the other vets were bad in any way. They just weren't particulary good. The third time is a charm. I really liked Dr. Kelley. He took the time to talk to me about my cat and any existing health problems and gave me some interesting information about her breed. He did a thorough exam even though I had just brought her in for a vaccination and to get her teeth checked. I went away feeling like he cared about my cat's health and that she was more than a business transaction. His interpersonal skills are as good as his animal skills. I have finally found my cat's medical home.

I've brought my various pets (dogs, cats and rodents) to see Drs. Nolte and Kelly for over 2 years. Because of number of pets I have and their advanced ages, I'm at the clinic for one thing or another almost monthly - if not more often. I am very picky when it comes to the veteriarians I work with and this practice is the best I've seen in 20 years of pet ownership. They really listen to your concerns and preferences and offer respectful options that are mindful of the cost and the likely benefit to the pet. I have never, ever felt pressured to do additional tests or procedures they way I have at other clinics.
I've never had a problem getting my animals in to be seen, especially if it is urgent. There have even been times when I've had work conflicts where I've been able to drop off a pet on my way in to work and pick it up later that day. Best. Service. Ever.
It's clear they love their work and they enjoy learning about each pet's personality and their life outside of the clinic. During a period of significant and stressful health issues with several dogs, Dr. Nolte would give me a call at home just to see how things were going and to ask if there was anything else I felt needed to be done. Not because she was following up on a specific procedure, but because she was concerned. Try getting that level of personal service at a franchise clinic.
When we decided to finally euthanize our shepherd because of neurologic issues, it was a wonderful experience. They made schedule space for us on a busy monday and worked with us to help make the death process calm, respectful and understandable for our two children (4 and 6). You can't put a price on that.
I always joke with them about my multiple vet visits paying the mortgage, but I have to say I wouldn't want my pets or my money going anywhere else.

It went very well. My dog was comfortable with medication and rest as suggested. I was never pressured to do any tests but asked and I was given the amounts each additional test would cost.

We take our dog there annually for his check ups and to update his shots. They are great in every aspect - from sending us reminders when Gizmo needs a visit to answering our questions and following up with us after the fact.

They were very nice and since he was a rescue, the first check up was free. I did not know that going in, but it was a welcome surprise. I will definitely go back!

This is a wonderful vet clinic. They did a great job-when I came back to pick her up she was really relaxed (no, they didn't anesthetize her) so I know they were really gentle. Don't worry about it being on Snelling Ave., a busy street, there's plenty of parking in the back where it's quiet.

Knowing that the final services rendered to my beloved dog were performed in such a sensitive, caring way helps me deal with the loss of my cherished 4-legged companion. Every time I have brought one or more of my dogs to Midway Animal Hospital, my dogs and I are greeted warmly and my dogs are put at ease. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 1993 I've patronized several veterinary hospitals and Midway Animal Hospital is by far the best, hands down!

This was our first visit since their new ownership. They got us in quickly, diagnosed and treated him, kept in touch and followed up with phone calls, educated us, and sent a thank you note. We have since taken our cats in for physicals and another problem and have received similar attention each time.

We followed Dr. Kelley here from his previous practice in Inver Grove. He is by far the best vet we have encountered. Our dog had a lot of health issues during his first two years. Dr. Kelley has been so gentle with him, and so good at explaining things to us. He clearly understands what an important member of our family he is caring for! He is really thorough, but also doesn't go overboard. The office is really clean, and the staff is really helpful and friendly. Convenient parking (and main entrance) behind the building. Highly recommended!

Very good. Veterinarian is very nice and explains everything very well. She also spent a lot of time with me and my dog. The facility is very clean and organized. My regular Vet relocated and I choose Midway based on other opinions from Angies List. I was just as happy as those who gave there views.

We really appreciated Dr. Millers willingness to come out to our house. Because she did, a terribly difficult situation was made somewhat more tolerable. The cost covered the euthanasia, home visit, and cremation. Weve taken our animals to her for years and have always been thrilled with her caring and expertise.
