Mark runs a great business.  Some things that really stood out to me:
1)  The subcontractors that he brings in have all worked with him for years.  They know what he expects, and they deliver on that.
2)  His subcontractors are all very personable.  Construction people can sometimes not be very customer-friendly.  Not the crews that Mark brings in.  They are all great people.
3)  Mark is great to work with.  He over-communicates the status of the project so that you know how things are going.
4)  Every project has issues.  Some are major and some are minor.  I did not have any major ones, but on the minor ones Mark was great.  He explained the situation to me in a language that I could understand so that I could make the right decision.
5)  When I hire a contractor, I don't want somebody to tell me "I'll do whatever you want me to do."  Mark's approach is "I'll do whatever you want, BUT THIS IS HOW I WOULD DO IT IF IT WERE MY HOUSE."  He has great experience and he shares it.

Mark is incredibly good. He listens to what you need and is very understanding of your needs as they're working. I was able to keep my childcare business open as they were doing the work.

Mark, from M.Kozulla Corp., was a terrific general contractor to work with from the start. We were able to visit actual job sites to see his style and quality of work. Furthermore, we called several references and heard great things about his work. He was patient in the planning process and his estimates were right on. There were no surprises working with Mark. He clearly communicated price, calendar, and described the work process. He answered all of our questions and was easy to contact when needed. Mark worked easily with the sub-contractors and managed their efforts well. He held them to a high standard of work and made sure that their work met his high expectations. Mark consistently kept the job site clean and was especially cognizant of the fact that a family was living in the house during the process and worked to diminish the time we were without w/d and kitchen appliances. The project turned out beautifully and we couldn't be happier with the work and our choice to hire M.Kozulla Corp!
