Home Building
Lonnie came to our home on numerous occasions to talk about the foundation. We agreed (and paid for) poured concrete walls from Superior Walls. After the closing (and the money had been disbursed), I was told that, sorry, Superior Walls had gone out of business, and now we had to use cement block "at no extra cost." It just so happens that cement block is half the cost of poured concrete, so who was going to pocket that money? Not us, apparently. We notified Lonnie that we were terminating our contracts on Oct. 31. It is now Thanksgiving, and we have received not a dime of our $12,000, nor an accounting of where the money is. In fact, Lonnie no longer answers our phone calls.
Update: It's now June 2012, and he still refuses to return the money. We're suing him and working with the Carver County Sheriff's Office to bring him to justice for stealing our money.
