I'm real happy with them. They're convenient and they have good hours. The reason why I switched to them is because I suddenly needed veterinarians that I can go to after five o'clock.

Dr Julie is a wonderful vet! She always takes the time to explain everything in language I can understand, and lays out the various options for treatment, so that I can make an informed decision. I feel like a true partner in the health care of my kitties and I learn a lot along the way! I never feel that tests or procedures are recommended unless they are really helpful or necessary. The rest of the office staff is also friendly, professional and helpful. I am very happy to have found this veterinary service!

I feel very lucky to live close to an excellent practice like the Larpenteur Animal Hospital. Everyone I met is very professional and kind--Stacy at reception, Bobbie the vet tech, and Dr. Julie. One of my cats is very shy, and Dr. Julie was so gentle that my kitty calmed down during her exam. They answered all my questions and gave me useful information to keep my cats healthy and happy. I highly recommend them!

I thought since i was there I would do one stop shop and did not bother to ask what they charge for nail clipping and ear plucking, so my bad. So when it came out on the bill $16.90 for nails (*2 as I have 2 dogs) and $29.40 for anal expression, and ear plucking $28.30. Pretty much was speechless!
On top of this just for the exam it was $47.35 for each dog and I bought the heartgard and frontline which was reasonable with the rebates. Plus the tabies booster for 3 years was $23.85 which was reasonable.
Extremely nice people but there prices are whacked and I wish when I asked if they did it they would have informed me it would cost an arm and a leg!
So anyway 595.56 later for 2 dogs was not worth it and I will be shopping around to find a better deal next time!!!!

Dr. Julie is phenomenal and the staff there is friendly and very down-to-earth. I love this vet! They charge fair prices and the vet I go to always calls me back and will take time out to answer my questions. I really like this vet and I would trust my animals there anytime.

I called and was able to get in the next day. A thorough exam was performed, along with recommendations for follow-up treatment. The doctor was very kind to my aging dog.

We began taking our puppy here when we first got her at 12 weeks old. She began throwing up and acting very lethargic. We brought her in and x-rays were taken. Nothing was found, and she was rehydrated. She seemed to be getting a little better, but then really started throwing up again. We took her in again after another week and had blood work done. We were told that there was nothing wrong and that she was just being a difficult puppy. 3 days later, on Mother's Day, our 9 month old puppy died. She had received all of her vaccinations from Larpenteur, was spayed there, and had been microchipped there as well. I waited 4 months to write this report so I wouldn't be so emotional.

All of us at Larpenteur are in the pet care business as a result of wanting to care for pets and keep them happy and healthy in their owner’s homes. For such a sad outcome we offer our sympathy. We work to base our recommendations on the individual needs of the pet and also to provide prompt follow up communications to ascertain that things are going well at home or to be able to respond quickly if not. We cannot always make contact with owners and ensure appropriate follow up care when the pet is not improving but we do try and try hard. The fact is in our metropolitan area there are many alternatives available for pet owners who are unhappy for any reason with recommendations or care offered. None of that, however, changes the fact that sometimes the worst happens and that is the struggle that all of us at times have to live with in this field along with all the good that comes with caring for animals."

My dog is not a friendly dog, she snaps at most anyone. They took the time to talk to her and it was the first time the dog didn't try snapping at the vet and assistants. Great service, got in the same day. Will definitely go back, I now have a new vet.

Great! While I was waiting several customers came in for appointments or to buy cat food. The employees knew all of their customers and were very friendley. I could tell there was an established customer/vet relationship with each customer that I saw enter this business. The waiting room was very neat and tidy and they have some super cool dog magazines.
I really felt these folks care about animals and have passion for what they do. I will be bringing my dog Daisy here from now on!!
I was so happy that I was able to also get a chip for Daisy at a great price! I hadn't planned on getting it done that day but when I found out it was much cheaper than I thought, I decided to get it!! They went and got what they needed and took care of business right away!!
I feel so much better and have a little piece of mind if my dog gets lost. It was great that they were so responsive and efficient. I didn't have to wait around for everything!

It is difficult to say it went well when a cat is basically dying, but they couldn't have done a better job. I didn't want him suffering, and they helped alleviate that. I have been recommending them to friends.

I have used Larpentuer Animal Hospital for over a decade, and followed Dr Anderson here from his former clinic in Minneapolis. They have taken care of 3 dogs, 2 cats and 5 pet rats.
They currently help us manage our dog's eplilepsy, as well as encounters with sharp objects, which somehow seems to happen every other year.
The staff is very caring and professional. They have been very gentle and supportive with my daughter, who is has been the owner of the rats, and have helped us with deciding when to care for them and when to say good bye.
When a sick animal has been seen, they make appropriate follow up calls to confirm that the treatment is working and answer any questions.
We will continue to use them as long as we have animals.

From the time I adopted him until the time I had to say goodbye, he was very well cared for. He actually enjoyed going to the vet. I would recommend them to anybody. They have great staff and it's a great atmosphere. It's not a huge place but they are very knowledgeable. My lab just got really old. I don't remember how much I spent on that visit. The last one was different from the normal yearly visits.

I was taking care of my son's cat and she became ill. I had to make 2 separate visits as her condition deteriorated quickly. Larpenteur Animal vets were very helpful and explained what they could... the illness remains a bit of a mystery. They were also very clear about possible treatments and costs. The vet/office made 3 follow up calls to check on the cat's progress. They did honor the discount coupon. Overall, I was very impressed with their caring attitudes and level of service.

I called and was able to get in the same day with my dog. She was very anxious and they were extremely patient with her and the cost was less than expected, I did not get charged the $50 check up fee just for the services performed.
