Auto Service
We normally take our car straight to the dealer for maintenance because we have such a hard time finding an auto mechanic we trust. This time some one close to us recommended Superior Auto Repair and the shop said they could put in a new used engine for $1500! Whoa, this kinda deal definitely beat the dealer price of $6k! So, thinking we got the ultimate insider hook-up, we decide to go for it. Boy did we make a HUGE MISTAKE! You ever hear the saying "you get what you pay for?"
We took our car in around March 4 and needless to say they STILL have our car after 2months+. The engine arrived after a 1 1/2 wks into the agreement. Week after week it was excuse after excuse why our car wasn't finished yet. They promised something they could NOT do. After 6wks they claimed it was ready but when we picked it up, it was far from ready. During our test drive the car would hesitate any time we accelerated. We took it right back! How dare they give us back our car in this condition?! After a week, they told us we'd have to shell out another $800 to fix the catalytic converter because that was the problem now causing the hesitation. Funny how this was not a problem before we ever took the car in. My husband & I reluctantly gave the car back to them since we'd already paid the $1500 we just wanted our car back in working order. A wk later the part comes in but we were still waiting...after 3 wks the mechanic tells us he "has too much work & hasn't had time to work on our car." Needless to say we have taken our car back but we're worst off than when we started. This is THE WORST auto shop we have EVER been to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!!!
