And then it all went south. Should getting drapes really take 5 months? 6/12/2009: Ordered drapes. Said it could be 6 to 10 weeks for delivery. Had to call a couple times for updates. Seems the hardware was the hold-up. 9/10/2009: Drapes installed. Didn't seem to hang right; questioned the installer who said they needed to hang for a couple days to relax. 10/8/2009: Called to talk to Violet. Left message with receptionist saying I didn't like the way drapes were hanging. Seemed to lack structure, pleats. Very messy and cheap looking. Mailed photos to Violet highlighting issues, requested professional pressing. 10/9/2009: Violet calls - horrified that I have these drapes - terrible! Will come and get them. 10/15/2009: Violet and Linda pick up drapes with plans to reset hooks and press. Later October: Had to call to find out when I was getting them back. Receptionist said they were being fixed and they were busy with the upcoming holiday orders. Like this didn't count. 11/5/2009: I called to confirm appointment set for 11/6. Couldn't commit. Chose my words carefully and got my point across. 11/6/2009: Linda and (?) came out, rehung drapes, steamed each pleat and used clothes pins to "train" drapes. Looked better. Apologized alot. Used clothes pins to train some more. 2010: Drapes hang better, but they still don't have the firm pleats expected. Maybe it's the material. I don't want to deal with Josephine's anymore. Someday the drapes will get taken down and professionally cleaned and pressed. This wasn't a good experience. They mean well, but ..... I'd use caution.

Overall, it was a great experience. She is very honest and always arrived on time to do the work. She finished the work in the time she said she will.

THEY SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE AGE OF OUR HOME AND RESPECTING THE CHARACTER OF THE ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE THAT WE HAVE. THEY WERE PROMPT AND WERE VERY GOOD AT LISTENING TO OUR PERSONAL PREFERENCES AND GIVING EXAMPLES THAT WE WOULD LIKE. IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. WE WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
