JOHN DALNES MASONRY

Super fast and it turned out nicely. They were on site full-days for about 2 days, then on and off for 2 more (pouring the steps, mounting the stone tops on the new buttresses, etc - didn't require full days). He had 4-5 people working on certain parts of the project overall. Great job though. It's such an upgrade!

We contracted John Dalnes to update our fireplace. We had a very dated looking and barely functional fireplace. We bought a wood burning insert and asked John to help us update the stone and accomadate the new insert. He helped guide us through the selection of stone, handled the stone logistics, tore out the old brick, and laid the new stone. John listened to what we wanted and made some great suggestions. For example, he suggested acid washing and saving the original hearth stone. This turned out great and saved us money. He was also able to accomadate our desire to have a dry stacked look and this also turned out beautiful. He was a master at fitting the jigsaw puzzle of pieces together into a very natural and beautiful layout. He was great to have in our house working on the project and he even had our daughter and quot;helpingand quot;. It has been over a year and I still enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace and admiring the stone. It totally transformed our basement family room into the most comfortable room in the house. We love it.

They were great guys. They were very professional and addressed all of the issues that we were dealing with. I am happy with what they did. They took care of everything.
