We are very pleased with the finished rooms that Jay Schiller remodeled. Jay gave us good suggestions and was very easy to work with and patient when we requested changes or additions to the project. His work and the results are excellent. He brought a lot of skills to the job, as both of our rooms were nearly gutted and needed drywall, installation of new lighting and fan, tile work, new woodwork, shower rebuild, painting, and installation of new flooring, sinks, toilet and shelving.

Working with Jay and his son was a pleasure. We decided on a plan to remodel the bathroom and he delivered in an efficient and timely manner. Jay is very easy to work with and takes pride in his work and makes sure everything is done right.

I had a hard time finding a contractor to do this work, largely because of not being able to determine whether the roof under the deck would need to be replaced. Jay was willing to tackle the project. He said he liked solving problems. He was willing to quote me a price for the work that could be defined and work with the rest. He was patient and helpful working with me to select the materials and to get a look that fit the yard and house.
The project moved quickly. Once we determined the materials, Jay ordered them right away so that he could start promptly. He was able to fit me in between other jobs. Jay and his son did all the work. The site was left tidy every day. I went to work each day and was perfectly comfortable leaving.
The deck looks lovely and the workmanship really showed on both the deck and the porch. He reconstructed the wall to blend with the unrepaired portions. He replaced the insulation and paid attention to details. I felt he found ways to keep my cost down by such things as reusing materials and reworking things where he could.
Extras: one day he helped me with my boat that wouldn't start. He was great with the cat and bird. Working with him felt like working with a friend.
