Krista was very easy to work with. She listened to my design preferences and my needs. She accommodated my work schedule for meetings. She met me at design center where I reviewed furniture and advised on furniture and upholstery. She borrowed a rug I had seen at Macy's and brought it to the design center so it could be used to coordinate furniture and upholstery. I had a set vision for the design when I started out, but turned out selecting something totally different. Krista sort of nudged me in differing directions and showed me examples. I followed her lead which caused me to look at new and different things. She was there for me to bounce options off of and for new suggestions. I ended up with a jewel of a great room. It gives me pleasure just to look at it. She was very professional and had a formal contract. She requires an escrow account. She charges for time and travel, which is common among the other decorators I interviewed. Her rate was the midpoint of those I interviewed: $145 per hour. She makes ample use of email and imbedded links to sites on the internet, which moves things along well.

She presented numerous options for the remodel in the beginning. As we winnowed down the designs, she was great in presenting us with different options for design finishes so that we weren't overwhelmed with choices. She was present often during the construction and worked well with the contractor. This was the first time she had worked with them. We hope that becomes a permanent relationship because it worked so well. Though recently finished and not all of the furniture is in, we have had nothing but positive comments from visitors.

TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. KRISTA IS EVERYTHING YOU COULD HOPE FOR IN A DECORATOR. AN ARTISTIC EYE COMBINED WITH STRAIGHTFORWARD AND TRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS SKILLS. SHE LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED AND HAS HELPED ME CREATE THE HOME THAT I HAVE DREAMED OF. BEFORE WE EVEN STARTED, SHE TOOK THE PLANS FOR OUR HOME AND CAME BACK WITH DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR EACH ROOM INCLUDING THE GUEST BATHROOMS. THEN WE SET ABOUT CREATING A UNIQUE HOME INCLUDING COMBINING ANTIQUES WE PURCHASED ALONG THE WAY. IF YOU ARE TIRED OF DEALING WITH ''FLIGHTY'', UNRELIABLE DESIGNERS WHO ONLY CAN DO THE RED/YELLOW DESIGN, THEN KRISTA IS THE DESIGNER FOR YOU. I WILL WORK WITH HER ON EVERY HOUSE WE HAVE IN THE FUTURE.

KRISTA WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. SHE WAS PROMPT AND VERY RESPONSIVE AND HELPFUL WHEN I HAD QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE COMPLETED WORK, THANKS TO HER.

KRISTA CREATED A DESIGN FOR US THAT GAVE US THE BEST LIVING SPACE FOR OUR NEEDS. SHE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF STYLE AND LISTENED VERY CLOSELY TO WHAT WE WANTED. SHE WAS ALWAYS ON TIME FOR APPOINTMENTS AND BROUGHT LOTS OF GREAT SAMPLES TO HELP US MAKE DECISIONS. WE PLAN TO CONTINUE WORKING WITH HER TO IDENTIFY OTHER DECORATING IDEAS FOR OUR HOME.

KATIE WORKS ON A RETAINER AND THEN CHARGES HOURLY. SHE CAN BE FLEXIBLE WITH THE AMOUNT OF TIME AND ATTENTION SHE PUTS INTO THE PROJECT, WHICH WE PREFERRED SINCE WE ARE TRYING TO STAY WITHIN A BUDGET. I THINK SHE HAS BEEN MINDFUL OF OUR BUDGET AND HAS RECOMMENDED CREATIVE WAYS IN WHICH WE COULD GIVE OUR HOME A ''FACELIFT'' WITHOUT SPENDING TOO MUCH. KATIE MET WITH US INITIALLY TO SHOW US SOME OF HER WORK AND TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT WE WANTED TO DO. SHE LISTENED TO US AND UNDERSTOOD OUR TASTES AND HER EFFORTS HAVE REFLECTED THAT. WE WERE A LITTLE SURPRISED WHEN WE WERE BILLED FOR HER TRAVEL TIME, BUT MAYBE THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE IN THIS BUSINESS. WE ARE PLEASED WITH THE JOB KATIE HAS DONE AND CONTINUE TO WORK WITH HER.
