Todd left the permit open for several months. I found out when the insurance company sent me a notice of cancelation due to the open permit. Todd came on my property a few times unannounced - I should have been informed if he was going to be on-site, but I guess that's a way to dodge when you know you're cutting corners. A gutter was left hidden on the ground between the garage and fence on East side of building - Todd refuses to reinstall or replace if damaged(he continues to insist he replaced what was damaged and shows a photo of the west side of the garage that had already been replaced in a timely fashion). I also found out well after the fact that he put new roofing over old rotted decking and my side shed leaks rain after the reroof. If you hire this guy, make sure you stand over him to hold his feet to the fire - he knows all the tricks in the book.

Hometown Restoration recently replaced our roof and sections of guttering/ window trim due to storm damage. The process from start to finish was very smooth - they worked well with our insurance company, discusses with us and matched our current style/colors very closely, and communicated very clearly about scheduled work days, including a delay due to weather. Recommended!

It's been great. They coordinated our appointment time that considered our schedule. They reviewed our insurance claim and identified what they could do to repair our storm damage and helped us discuss with our insurance agent what could be done with parts not identified in the original adjuster claim.

They did an excellent job.  Todd worked with the insurance company and took care of all the paperwork.
We had to delay the job a couple of times due to our schedules and Hometown had no problems with it.
They did the job in a day and cleaned up.  Didn't even know they were there

Overall, our experience with Hometown Restoration was top notch, and we would not hesitate to do business with them again or to refer them to others.

Unlike many of the other contractors looking for business in the area after the storm, the sales professional from Hometown was not at all pushy. Chad was completely professional, patient, and honest. Initially, we were hesitant to open a claim (in part, due to a horrible experience dealing with insurance when we were hit by a storm in 2005). Chad took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, answer all of our questions, and to ensure we were 100% comfortable before moving forward. He is probably the most patient contractor / sales person I have ever dealt with.

After we decided to move forward, Hometown Restoration continued to provide us with great service. They made dealing with the insurance company completely hassle free, communicated with us frequently, were extremely patient waiting for us to choose shingle and siding types/colors, and completed all work within very reasonable timeframes. We are highly satisfied both with the quality of work and the quality of customer service. I would certainly recommend Hometown Restoration to family and friends.

This is a large company with many roofing crews, and as such, doesn't always have the best quality control over the crews. The crew we had didn't take precautions to protect our windows and siding during tear-off. The company did repair the torn window screens, and paid to replace the landscape lights that were broken. However, we had several marks from shingles on the siding that they tried to clean, but were still quite visible. They also badly dented the gutter in the front of the house. A few months after the roof was installed, a line of ridge cap shingles blew off on a moderately windy day. They did send someone out the same day I called to fix the blown-off shingles, but we wonder what else was mis-installed on the roof.

Did a complete tear off of old roof and replaced ice/water shields, shingles, and roof vents. They were timely and did an excellent job. The work was completed as promised and all debris was removed. We were very satisfied with the company.
