HOFFMAN CORNER HEATING & A/C

The owner of Hoffman Corner has retired and sold the business to a company called HomeWorks, Much like a used car salesman, my HomeWorks technician used a sales presentation and high pressure tactics to try to sell me additional products and services. And when I did not agree, he had to call his manager to join our conversation. Needless to say, I will not be using HomeWorks again.

HORRIBLE experience. Scheduled an AC tune up, once they showed up nothing worked after that. The only good thing is that they didn’t charge me from the initial $230 bill they gave me to basically break my AC. Now I need to replace the entire unit, and it’s costing me a lot more. I had 2 other companies come out for a second option once it stopped working after John, and they both said how bizarre it is that it was working prior and now it’s not. Not to mention how rude John was to me. Wouldn’t trust or recommend them to anyone.

Great service and speed

Did a full inspection of unit internals and gas line, turned gas back on, inspected again and checked for leaks and correct operation. Friendly, honest, and competent. Top of my list for any future service.

So when the furnace wasn't working properly, they were the only one to call.  On the phone, the technician talked through some common fixes.  When none of the obvious items was right, we asked for an in-house visit.  John was at our house on time and within an hour and a half of the initial phone call.  He was thorough, polite, honest and reasonably-priced.  I highly recommend Hoffman Corner Heating and Air Conditioning.

John came to our home 2 days before the installation to do final measurements to make sure everything would go smoothly on installation day. On the day of the installation, John arrived right on time and explained everything they would be doing. We were shown exactly how the furnace would be vented. He also explained that he would be reventing our hot water heater. After the furnace was installed, John explained how to use the programable thermostat. He also had us come downstairs to show us the furnace installation. He answered all our questions and told us not to hesitate to call him if we had any further questions or concerns. All old parts including our old furnace were removed from our property. Everything was very clean when the job was done.

Very efficient job at great price.

We called them because our hot water heater appeared to be leaking. John showed us a bulge in the back and explained that it was about to blow. We turned it off. He directed us on how to find a new one and he installed it and we love having hot water.
Several years ago our furnace stopped working in the middle of an extreme cold spell. He brought over big space heaters to keep us warm until he could install a new furnace.
