HOEFT APPLIANCE CENTER

OK, my old ones were nearly 30 yrs old. The washer went "thunka-thunka-thunka." Once or twice it actually tipped over with an unbalanced load. I obviously couldn't do laundry without being in the house. The dryer made horrible screeching noises. I decided to put this year's tax refund to good use: upgrade. I went for Bosch front loaders. Not top of the line. Just enough to get a water heater in the washer and a basic dryer. Dryer technology has not improved in 20+ years. Washers have. I wasn't completely sold on the Bosch dryer until I started opening & closing doors on other brands. Flimsy & teeny tiny openings on the others ruled them out. Anyway, the sales people are not pushy, they will do research if you ask. It's not a flashy store but I wasn't buying the store. Also other places make up for no delivery fee by charging more for the appliances and only offering the top of the top of the lines. So far as I was concerned, if my clothes got clean and I didn't have tip-over, screeching, thunking units, I was ahead. Oh, and they were delivered first thing in the morning, the delivery guys were careful (given the rust dripping off the old units) and didn't bash the doorways etc.

Our Hoeft salesperson was very friendly and helpful, but they did not have the appliances we were looking for. He did recommend another store, and wrote down for us the number and name of someone to talk to.

WE LOOKED MANY PLACES FOR APPLIANCES ONLY TO EITHER BE IGNORED (DID WE LOOK TOO YOUNG TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD APPLIANCES) OR WERE JUST GIVEN BAD SERVICE. HOEFT STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. NEW APPLIANCES ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID, AND SINCE THERE WAS NOT A FREEZER TO REMOVE, THEY HAULED AWAY AN OLD DRYER FOR US INSTEAD. THEY ALSO HAVE DECENT PRICES.

THERE IS ONLY ONE APPLIANCE MAKER THAT MAKES A DISHWASHER IN THE SIZE THAT FITS IN MY KITCHEN SO I ONLY HAD TO CALL AROUND TO SEVERAL APPLIANCE SALES STORES TO FIND THE BEST DEAL. HOEFT OFFERED THE BEST PRICE, INCLUDING DELIVERY, AND ALSO HAD THE MODEL IN STOCK. THEY SUB-CONTRACTED THE INSTALLATION, WHICH WAS DONE PROMPTLY AND VERY WELL. THE OLD DISHWASHER WAS ALSO HAULED AWAY FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE.

I CALLED ANOTHER COMPANY SINCE I ALWAYS SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES, AND THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL. AFTER ONE WEEK WENT BY, I CALLED HOEFT AND THEY APOLOGIZED TO ME FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO DELIVER UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. IT TOOK THEM 5 MINUTES TO PUT IN THE NEW ONE, AND THEY TOOK AWAY THE OLD ONE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PRODUCT IS WONDERFUL.
