Serving the Midwest for more than 45 years, Great Lakes Waterproofing works from outside your structure targeting the water and moisture problems. Using our Hydroclay Injection Process, where bentonite is injected around the basement foundation, we seal up the areas moisture moves through before it gets inside. Our no-digging approach leaves the area looking the same when we leave. Our projects include homes, businesses, tunnels, parking garages, elevator pits, underground vaults and projects the other guys can't do. Bentonite is an all-green material (rated by HUD) is recognized for its unmatched ability to stop moisture and even self-heal over smaller cracks. The Great Lakes Waterproofing sales crew identifies the problems with the help of moisture meters and inferred thermographs. Our estimates for home owners are always free and in most cases we can be out within a few days of your call. We don't believe in the hard sell, you make the decision on your own time.

"Loren, sorry to read that you felt in necessary to complain about our service, from our email exchanges from the spring of 2019, you mentioned that the area had gotten much better but you still had a damp spot. I asked some questions and It took over five months for you to respond mentioning that you filled the bottom of an egress window with dirt up to the trim, WHICH WE DON?T RECOMMEND. This allows surface water to go directly through the window or behind the trim. You didn?t respond to the follow up email until we got a call over the 4th of July Weekend this year. Unfortunately we were very short staffed with the holiday and it took a few extra days to scheduled your project and perform additional work on the foundation, which we did in July. We also noted some above-grade corrective actions that need to be taken by the homeowner to ensure the ponding water in his yard is no longer an issue."
"Thanks for the great rating, unfortunately our morning project ran a little long but glad we could take care of your project!"
"With larger projects we only ask for detailed drawings, a safe working environment and a timeline, all of which were changed on the fly by the customer on this job; a five day project turned into 10 weeks, the foundation was changed several times and the jobsite was not properly prepped, meaning we had to do an enormous amount of additional labor. The customer acted as the general contractor not fully aware of all their responsibilities including submitting change orders for additional work, and building to code, since we were against pour deadlines we obliged. Several months later we are still waiting for the customer to pay on the balance."
"Thank you! This project was a little tougher due to some hidden wall damage from age, glad we were able to help!"
"We've seen a lot of different water issues, glad we could help. Our estimates are always free."
