FRATTALLONE'S ACE HARDWARE

When I dropped off the screens I was told I would be called when they were completed.  The call never came so I dropped by the store today.  When I picked up the screens I noticed they did not replace the screen with aluminum screen but a fabric type.  I mentioned this to the manager who happened to be near the check out.   He told me they always replace screen with the same kind that is in them to begin with.  When I told him I was positive the screen was wrong he discounted me and pretty much talked to me like a kid who didn't know what I was doing.   I said I would be back with a matching screen to show him it is aluminum.   

When I brought back the screen, which at this point it already seemed bad that I had to do this.   He should have believe me, why would I make up what kind of screen I had when I want all of the screens to match?!    Even after bringing in the matching screen he talked down to me but did finally agree to replace them with the correct screen.  

On top of this, these screens are quality Anderson Window with a metal spline.  They threw the metal spline out, and replaced the nice metal with the cheap old rubber stuff.    I was told there's nothing that can be done about that now so I am stuck with less structurally sound screens.

I feel completely ripped off.  If I had wanted a crappy job I could have done it myself and saved a lot of money.

Our White Bear Lake neighborhood is a better place because of our local Ace Hardware store. You literally cannot be in the store longer than 30 seconds without a staff member asking if you need some help. Ace sales associates consistently have the answers I need for my household projects. They also cheerfully accept returns. Every time I walk over to our Ace store, I am grateful that I don't have to get in my car and drive to another hardware store.
