FLOWERS ON THE PARK

I wanted 30 red, long stemmed roses for my wife for our 30th wedding anniversary. Called to confirm well in advance that they could guaranty delivery of this order on the special day before 10:00 am as we had a lunch reservation at 11:15. They said they could deliver my order by this time and in fact asked if it should be earlier, I said as long as they are here by 10:00 that is good. The day of, 10:00 comes and goes. I had no choice but to call them and of course, my wife heard me make the call ruining this surprise. I was informed that the driver instead of delivering my order which is 10 minutes away from their store, was dispatched to Minneapolis to deliver flowers to a funeral and that he would be here in 10 minutes. The order showed up at 10:35, five minutes before we had to leave for our reservation. The store offered no reduction in price nor a refund of the delivery charge, just a "sorry". Only get one 30th wedding anniversary and this surprise was to be the highlight of the day but was ruined by this florist. To be fair, the flowers were beautiful, just pick them up rather than use their delivery if you chose to patronize them.
