Ed and his son installed my new AC in a timely and professional manner. I have used Ed before and I trust him completely. Nothing slick or pushy about this guy! He is down-to-earth and really knows his stuff. He's extremely reliable and trustworthy. I wouldn't use anyone else for my HVAC needs.

I can't say enough about Ed's heating & Air. Ed tried to fix our 19 yr.old furnace, then gave us the option to fix or replace. The best option was to replace. The day Ed came the roads & our driveway was a ice rink, he ssalted my driveway. His work is complete & quick. Thank you Ed for coming before the freeze.

Called Ed's Heating and Air. It was still during business hours, but person who answered phone seemed to be at home (from sounds in background), and did not really come across with a professional manner. But he did ask the right questions, so I asked him if someone could be sent out in next few hours. Sure enough, a Ed's Heating & Air truck was in driveway a couple of hours later.
Technician was friendly enough, but was a bit disheveled - not really dressed like you would expect a technician to be.
He got down to troubleshooting, and about 30 minutes later informed me that main control board in furnace had failed. He told me then that total repair charge would be $390.00.
I accepted this quote. He then made a trip to a parts vendor, and returned with part about 90 minutes later.
Shortly thereafter, furnace was up and running.
Next day though, we noticed water all over floor in utility room next to furnace. I took cover off furnace and found that technician had forgotten to hook up main condensation drain line from furnace. This was easy for me to fix, and there was no water damage.
I did call just to let Ed's know of this oversight. He said "things like that happen", (though he and I knew that, probably not the best response...) but also apologized.
Overall, I would probably do business with this company in future.
Response from Ed's Heating & Air Inc
"Again. I am sorry about the oversight on the drain line. Thanks for the review!"

It went well. I can't believe he came over out of the hospital after having a procedure to help me. I will never call anyone else again.

His responsiveness was very good.  I described the problem with the furnace on the phone and said I thought it was the inducer motor.  He agreed and said he'd get the part at the local distributor and then be at my house.  He arrived within several hours after I had first phoned him.  He confirmed that the motor was indeed the problem and then replaced it.  He was very fast , efficient, and professional and seemed very knowledgeable.  The whole repair only took an hour and I was very pleased with the whole process.

"I appreciate the review. Thanks!"

Called on Sunday and on one of the hottest days of the year and Ed
answered the phone and came out immediately.  For a weekend call, he was
half the price of other companies.  He was able to quickly diagnose and
fix the problem.  Also provided some helpful advice on things easily
done to prevent any issues in the future.

I called Ed's Heating and Air on a Sunday and he answered right away. I explained the problem and before I could ask if he could come out he informed me he could tell me how to fix it over the phone. He had a YouTube video linked to his website that explained exactly what the problem was. It was a simple procedure (with the video) to disconnect hoses clean the trap. He even called me back to tell me another possible cause of the issue, but by the time I saw he had called me back, I was done and my furnace was kicking out hot air. It tells me a lot about Ed's integrity and it was not what I expected when calling for service on my furnace. Thanks again Ed!!! .

I've used Ed several times now with my home and my rental properties.  He always answers the phone right away.  I got a call from a tenant that the furnace wasn't working (it was below zero outside) and so I called Ed.  He answered the phone and since this was after hours I was surprised at his quick response.  He immediately took care of the problem and headed straight for the property and fixed the problem with no problems or drama.  From the time the tenant called me and the repair completed was less than 2 hours.  Thanks again Ed!!!!

Ed arrived on time and was responsive in his communication.  I have no doubt that he knows what he's doing and is good at his work.  While here, he was rude and dismissive.  He acted frustrated and rushed throughout the service call.  Our furnace was still functioning, but the fan was out.  We didn't have the money to replace the entire furnace at the time and just wanted the fan fixed.  He told us that it was stupid to replace the fan because he was sure there were other things wrong (but couldn't say what or verify that there were other issues).  So he replaced the fan begrudgingly and the furnace has worked wonderfully ever since.  Good work, poor attitude and demeanor.
Response from Ed's Heating & Air Inc
"This review came in 8 months after I did the job, so I don't remember the conversation that went on. But what was written certainly does not sound like me. I may have said that it does not make sense to replace an expensive part on an older furnace. I probably said that he could run into several expensive repairs in the near future or it could last a long time. I would not say other things were wrong unless they were. That doesn't fit what I would say at all."

"Not sure why someone would hire a company if they thought his price was a D. Sorry you thought I talked to you in a manner that made you feel that way. This review came in many months after I did the job, so I am not sure what was said."

I'm surprised that another customer on Angie's List was displeased with Ed's demeanor. We found him to be very professional and, since we were paying by the hour for his work, we were happy that he didn't waste any time on small talk. And even though our house is fifteen years old and we could probably use a new system, Ed didn't try to sell us one. He simply diagnosed our problem and repaired it quickly and efficiently. I waited a couple of months to write this review because it's hard to rate the value of a repair until you've lived with it a while, but the unit is working perfectly. We're very pleased with Ed's work and have recommended him to our neighbors. We'll definitely call him the next time there's a problem.

My experience with him was pretty good.  He got the job done for a good price; he didn’t rip me off.  I have had him for three different houses that I own.  He was a little crabby on phone, however, he does a good job.

Ed was very punctual and professional.  Serviced the furnace and made sure everything was functioning properly in preparation for the super cold weather we have been promised over the next couple of days.  I so appreciate his knowledge and honesty.  I will definitely use him again and will refer him to family and friends.

I called Ed's Heating & Cooling based off online reviews.   He called me back right away and was at my place within 2 hours of me calling.   He told me what the issue was with my furnace and how it could be fixed.  He didn't make any promises that he wouldn't be back out for another issue given I have 14 year old furnace .   I have had several bad experiences with the Xcel Energy and One Hour Heating/Cooling contractors.   They either didn't know what they were doing or they were just trying make a quick sale for thousands of dollars more.   Ed gave me quote knowing my living situation, didn't try sell me something I don't need or want.  He was very professional and no nonsense.  Coming from sales/customer services field I really appreciate that.   I would recommend him.

Ed was able to come and fix the furnace just a few hours after I called, it was not an emergency.  He also investigated and answered some general questions I had about the duct work in my older house.  He did not charge extra for that time.
He is friendly, efficient, and knows what he is doing.  This is the third time he has done service work in my home, I will recommend him to others with no reservations.

Job went great.  Ed arrived on time and worked very quickly.  He was completely in 2 hours and was done with high quality.  During the bit process he went through multiple options with me and pros/cons of each.  Once we determined the best approach Ed knew exactly what to do and was able to schedule the install in very quickly.

Heating system did not keep up with the temperature setting.   Ed came to our house the same day and test the system thoroughly.  He found the problem and provide options to fix it.   It was easy fix but we did not have the part. He suggested that I can order it or he can order it to get it delivered to our home.  Honest and humble technician.  Highly recommended.
