I emailed my request for a bid and they promptly returned my email and set up an appointment. Driscoll is two brothers--one does the business side, the other does more of the hands on. Unfortunately, the non-business brother came to handle the bid process. After I signed the contract, the amount of detail on the contract was not sufficient for the subs and the electrician who did the first walk through was not available for the work. There was not good detail between Driscoll and the electrician doing the work. There was also limited communication between the subs and Driscoll. When I contacted Driscoll about the schedule, they did not know when some subs would arrive or if all the work was completed. They did not complete the contract in time and getting resolution was difficult with the brother I had assigned to my project. Finally, I contacted the business brother (who was unaware the contract had not been completed) to get an answer.

I can't tell you too many good things, about Driscoll Brothers. I had a positive experience from beginning to end. I interviewed about four different companies for the job and Dris. Bros, by far surpassed everyone with the impression they made on me. Pat & Jim Driscoll were the main contacts. They were professional, fair, reasonable & communicative during the entire project. They always returned my phone calls and emails, the very same day and never made me feel as though, I was asking a stupid question. Pat & Jim, were also very informative and helpful in making decisions. If a glitch arose, they took responsibility if they needed to, or helped me figure it out. I knew, I had made the right decision, when I came home the first night after they had ripped everything out and the kitchen, although empty, was neat and tidy and ready for the next step. The quality of work was outstanding as well! My family and friends were all very impressed. I could go on and on. Hire them.

My husband and I called the Driscoll's the week of Thanksgiving and posed a challenge: We wanted to expand our single story home to two stories to accommodate our growing family which was expected in May. They gave us a quote within the week and started demolition/construction in early February. The day after our daughter was born in April they were finished with their part of the construction of the house (we elected to do the finish work ourselves). They took our home from demolition to completion in 2 1/2 months. They listened to our needs and accommodated our requests. All of the sub-contractors were great to work with and respectful to us, our home and our landscaping. I would highly recommend the Driscoll Brothers to any of our friends and family looking for contractors and would use them again for any large project - without hesitation. From design to demolition to completion, Driscoll Brothers treated us in a professional and friendly manner that helped us get through the construction. Not only did they do a wonderful job of restoring the living room, their constant attention to keeping the house free of dust allowed us to comfortably live in the house until the job was complete. We appreciated that very much. Taking on a project of this size was at first very worrisome to both of us, to the point we almost gave up after meeting with the 2nd contractor. Then Driscoll Brothers came in, listened, understood and laid out a project plan that is working smoothly. As for as price, they were not only competitive, but came in at the quoted price with no hidden fees or overcharges. What they have been able to do with our small home has been wonderful, and I would honestly and confidently recommend them to any homeowner who cherishes their home.
