Domestic Relief

Took several tries to finally connect...then there were excuses as to why she had to postpone my cleaning.  She was very quick, lacked detail as in I had to redo my kitchen floor and dust light fixtures and tops of windows, etc.  Will try and find someone else.  I expect attention to detail when hiring a cleaning person.  Maybe I'm expecting too much.

Things have gone great.  Vicki has done what we hoped she would do - she has provided structure and standards for us and has shouldered most of our tasks.  Not only does she thoroughly clean the house, but she asks that we pick things up before she comes. (Structure for us!)  She also suggested, very nicely, that since it was summertime we could take our cats outside and brush them.  (Why didn't we think of that?)  I consider working with Vicki to be a cooperative effort.  She provides the structure and cleans the house.  We pick things up before she comes.  Together, our efforts have made a huge difference for us.  

A big plus is that it is very, very easy to communicate with Vicki through text messages.  If I'm running late, or if I had to leave the house very early and didn't have time to complete something, she knows about it before she walks in the door.  Additionally, Vicki is generally a cheerful, pleasant person.  Another plus is that, since Vicki does home staging as another job, she frequently will arrange our regular pillows or our fairly normal family photographs so that they are more appealing.

I am now used to having a clean house so I don't notice it so much.  However, a friend was over and walked into the bathroom.  "Good heavens," she shouted down the stairs, "what happened???"  Another guest asked how we managed to not have even the ghost of a dust bunny around.

I should add that I do have high standards of house cleaning, as I am the daughter of a very clean person.  I had tried someone before Vicki, and I ended up asking for my house key back from that other person because I was so disappointed.

I'm very happy with Vicki's work. She pays attention to details. It is wonderful to come home to find the house clean. She is very good with my pets--they like her and she pays attention to them too, and makes sure that they stay out of the areas of the house where they are not allowed. She is very responsible, and the times I've asked her to shift her cleaning day for some reason, she has been very flexible (to the extent possible).

Vicki replaced a housecleaning service I stoppped using. The difference between the former housecleaner and Vicki was unbelieveable. I have had Vicki clean 3 times in the last 6 weeks and each time I am more impressed. What a relief to have someone with as much attention to detail as Vicki has! Would recommend her to everyone- but only if it does take her away from me!!! She is even less expensive than the service I used to use, and does far superior work.

She was prompt, polite, professional, and did an excellent job

I was in a car accident and had not cleaned the house for three months. The house was VERY dusty and hadn't been vacuumed. Vicki did an excellent job. She moved things in order to vacuum and we have a lot of stuff lying around due to the accident and not being able to do much of anything. She was fast and professional. She did things I hadn't asked her to do. She is very thorough. It was such a big job it took her over 3 hours. She did say it would not cost as much the next time I use her.

Vicki has been cleaning for us on a weekly basis for the last couple of years. She always does an excellent job. She is always on time, quick but thorough, and willing to attend to anything extra we might ask. She stays for about 3 hours each time she is here and works hard the entire time. We highly recommend her!

Vicki is wonderful. She is trustworthy, friendly and professional. She does a great job making the house feel "refreshed" every two weeks. My experience with Vicki has been nothing but positive. She is a lovely person and a true professional.
