Mark the owner of the business came out and gave the quote. It was a breath of fresh air to talk with him compared to haggling with the commissioned "slicksters" from Champion & Great Lakes and their "this pricing is only good today" pressure tactics. Mark gave us the best price right up front, and utilized full frame Heartland windows when everyone else was quoting inserts. I had a couple of extra items done that the others wouldn't even quote. The installer was punctual, courteous, and an obvious craftsman. The Heartland windows look great inside and out. I couldn't be happier!

This was a fantastic experience from the beginning to end. We first met the owner, Mark, at the State Fair. He was very nice and wasn't throwing a sales pitch to us in any way. Their price was in the middle to higher range, however, there was a very comforting fell in all discussions that led us to choose Mark and his company. There is a delay in getting the doors and windows ordered and shipped. They are customer made to fit our home so this is standard. Once they were in, scheduling was done immediately and work began on time. We wanted to wait a bit for everything to settle-in after some use before writing our review. The quality of the work, the doors and the bay window is fantastic. After 6 months of regular use, everything is working as well as when it was all installed. We are so very happy with out choice of Mark and his company that we will be looking forward to the next time we need windows. They will be the 1st company we call. Thank you Mark!

Discount Windows was quick to respond to my inquiry. Brought sample window to show.
Quoted on first visit, and confirmed in writing on my request.
When I agreed to buy, they came to measure carefully, and set an installation date.
Installation was earlier than planned, because they had a schedule opening.
Installer was a careful craftsman as he removed old windows and dropped in the new.
Exterior completion was delayed while they obtained colored material to match my existing trim.
Exterior worker did another neat and clean job, including removing and replacing shutters that blocked his work.
Final result was better than I expected. New windows look great from inside and outside.
I am totally pleased with my new windows.

The installer came promptly and worked all day long.   He was polite, professional, friendly.  He cleaned up afterwards.   I had a good experience, and the windows look nice, and may be accomplishing a little of what I wanted.

They were prompt and knew what they were doing. After they did thw windows, they did a whole house windows for my daughter. My daughter is very happy with them too.

The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The price and installers were very good.

During our kitchen remodel, a small window was replaced with a wider energy-efficient window, requiring outside work during the coldest part of the winter. Weather (storms and sub-zero temps) issues caused delays of the window delivery and installation. Although the delay was in no way Mark's fault, he arranged for the interior rough-in work to be done on the scheduled date anyway so that the framing inspection could take place, allowing other contractors to complete their work on their scheduled dates. Mark worked with us to get the window installed in a way that was least disruptive to our schedule, even though that meant several schedule changes and extra trips for him and the installer, Tony. | |We have used Discount Windows & Wares multiple times over the past few years and we are always pleased with their service and products. y satisfiedThe two man crew finished the install of the windows in two days.  Some adjustments had to take place.  These adjustments were made during installation due to the age of the house.  Every adjustment was conveyed to me for approval.  The crew did a tremendous job.  I am completely satisfied with the workmanship and appearance.  There was no cleanup for me to take care of.  They hauled the garbage and my old windows with them.  I would definitely recommend Discount Windows!

On our first home, we interviewed various contractors. This contractor was the most knowledgable about their products and how to install that product. We use to have a 1890's farm house. They were able to replace odd dimensions of window openings. We are very happy.

We had one window that broke. No questions asked, they replaced the window .

Discount Windows did everything they said they were going to do. There craftsmanship was very good, they were careful and kept every piece of their word. You cannot go wrong with this company.



I would use them again, and if someone asks me I would certainly recommend them.

I got two estimates.  Discount Windows and Wares provided the product I was looking for.  They were the cheaper of two bids. and did the work on the agreed upon date.  The workmanship was excellent and the cleanup was very thorough.  Both the owner and installer were very easy to deal with.  The installer helped me re install the blinds when the job was finished.  I would use them again.

In a word: GREAT! I had little standard windows down there. Although the workmen were concerned about getting the work done before the weather got cold, they showed up on time or a day or two ahead of time, dug the new deep window wells, installed the metal walls, cut through the concrete walls and installed the windows. Even though the new windows are fully 4 times larger than the old, the basement is now significantly warmer and my heat bill actually went down. The workmen cleaned up very well, were patient about explaining, and did a fine job. The only thing I'd change is that I wish they also offered all wood sash instead of clad. I have recommended these people to many others.

I spent around $6500 on the service. The work went really well. They were a good company to work with. They were recommended by a friend. I decided to use them because they had good product and their price was good. They provided a friendly service. I will use this company again in the future.

They did a very good job. They came on time and cleaned up well after themselves. All the employees were friendly and nice. I wouldn't call anyone else in the future except them.

They did an amazing job. The owner was wonderful. If she said something was going to happen it happened. She also helped to find something that fit within my budget.

ORDERED ON 4/10. TOOK MORE THAN 5 WEEKS BEFORE INSTALLED ON 5/19. HAD PROBLEMS WITH SHADES.....MISSED A SLAB, AND COULDN'T TURN A COUPLE OF SHADES. REPAIRED AFTER ANOTHER 4 WEEKS ON 6/13. THE COST IS HIGHER THAN HOME DEPOT EVEN WITH A HOME & GARDEN SHOW DISCOUNT. WHEN CALLED THE COMPANY, 95% WAS ANSWERED BY AN ANSWERING SERVICE. INSTALLERS ARE GOOD.

A WONDERFUL COMPANY - DIANNA IS ESPECIALLY HELPFUL. SHE HELPED ME AT MY LAST VISIT THERE---ACTUALLY THE DOOR WAS LOCKED AND SHE WAS ON HER WAY OUT - BUT SHE TOOK TIME TO DELIVER MY REPAIRED ITEM --- AND SHOWED ME HINTS ON HOW TO AVOID FUTURE PROBLEMS WITH IT.
