We love the work and craftsmanship on our new walkways and stars. Scott and his crew did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them! 

Great from start to finish. They were extremely professional, courteous and kept the disruption to the yard at a minimum. Total time for the project about 8 days from start of construction to finish. The patio is stunning!!!

He did a great job.  They worked quickly.  He is so enthusiastic about his profession.

Scott's crew has further enhanced the patio they built.  Our wood deck had to be removed to build the stone patio which left unfinished walls.  Scott suggested stone veneer and once again created a fabulous look.  The stone on the walls really compliments the patio.  We are so happy with the entire project!

Scott and his crew have installed the most beautiful patio we could have imagined.  It is a joy to look out our windows to see how well the patio compliments the rest of our backyard.  Scott and crew started on Tuesday and wrapped the project up by Friday!  They were truly professional and have given us a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy for years to come.  

I received a mailbox flier mid April  After viewing Angie's List reviews, I contacted Scott / Detail Stone for an appointment to discuss scope of project and obtain a quote.  Scott visited the following weekend.  He brought along his portfolio.  Looking through the many photos of his previous work allowed me to get a good idea of the quality of his work, styles, and stone types / colors.  Selections were made and he provided a quote.  Following Monday, I selected Scott / Detail Stone as our contractor and sent a deposit.
Due to poor weather and slow start to outdoor projects, it was about three weeks later when Scott called to schedule the work.  He informed me he could fit us in the following week, starting on a Wednesday.  He confirmed stone types & colors.  Day before work was to start, Scott called again informing me of the start time, placement of his materials & dumpster, and asked me to text him a few photos to remind him of the layout.
Crew arrived as promised the following day, Wednesday.  They were able to overlay most of the stoop.  On second work day, crew was able to demolish the walk and lay the stone path.  Third work day was to cut path curvature and final laying of the stones and job site clean-up.
Scott is one of the best contractors I have hired.  He is avery good communicator - staying in frequent contact just before work begins and throughout the job.  I spoke with him at least twice per day to confirm choices which ensured job done with complete satisfaction.

A little behind schedule, and the demo contractor hit a natural gas line (which cost them a fine from MPLS Fire Dept), but the job was done professionally and completed in a timely way once completed. The wall looks excellent.

We have had two projects done by Detail Stone. They were helpful on the design, timely on the work, good quality and fair priced. They left the worksite clean. I would hire them again for stone work.

We saw Detail Stone working on a house in the neighborhood and liked what we saw. We contacted Scott Fosberg and he came out that day to view the job. Our job was a bit complicated due to the number of arches and corners involved and the angular pitch of the end stucco archways. Scott directed us to two locations to look at stone products and after choosing Hedberg Landscape and Masonry Supplies, Scott gave us a written quote. The job took several days with much stone cutting to make things line up properly, and the end result is everything we hoped for. We highly recommend Detail Stone.

Good. Scott is a straight forward guy, and his crew is good. He was interested in the stone from some buildings and a stone fence built around 1900 in Southern MN on our parents property. He made the trip down, picked out what he could use, and then decided the majority of it was too crumbly to use. Yet, he was willing to incorporate this historic stone in one of our retaining walls, and credited us for the materials. The planter and the retaining wall are beautiful and are guaranteed for 5 yrs. I hope they last much longer than that! We ended up installing gutters in that area to help preserve the nice work.

Scott was great. His bid was very reasonable. Once he had the stone, he completed our steps in 4 days, and he worked at our site until he was done. His clean up was very good. I was very happy.
