We thought long and hard before posting this negative review, but we felt that anyone considering hiring this company should know about our experience. We recently purchased a new home and needed help decorating the main level of our home. This included living room, dining room and the library. We hired Ali because of her seemingly innate design ability and because her personality seemed to be a great match for us. She is a great sales person and we bit it hook, line and sinker. From the beginning, her lack of focus, organization, and experience, became apparent. Also, there was a clear pattern of her blaming others for her mistakes. The contractors that she brought into our home were sub-par and unprofessional. She was not able to properly manage them. We even had to dismiss one contractor from the job because she was, unstable and, quite frankly, frightening. She neglected to measure before giving us the greenlight to buy a piece of furniture. We purchased the furniture and it did not fit in the space. We were upset, and asked that she help us make it work. The response was unbelievable. She stated that she never approved of the purchase and that she was not to blame. We were so shocked. We attempted to explain our concern but she was not receptive and refused to take any accountability. To date, Ali has made no further contact with us. We assume that she has abandoned the project. I finally did the research on her that I should have done in the first place. She and her husband, Stan, also appear here on Angie's list under AE Interiors. Looks like they changed their name and started a new profile under Design by 2. The AE Interior reviews speak for themselves. Do not hire this company.
