It was kind of a nightmare getting the excavation out and the concrete down because we have narrow gaps between houses with a pretty steep downward slope. Our yard was trashed due to the weight of the material they were hauling up the hill and the fact that the ground was wet. This wasn't their fault though. Then my Hunter Hydrawise irrigation controller kept using its local schedule even though I had turned off the WiFi schedule. So, that caused delays because they didn't want to try to roll down concrete on a wet hill and I couldn't blame them. Some of the problems with the job are probably my fault because I wasn't careful enough to make sure everything I wanted was on the paperwork. I asked for a downspout to be run under the concrete. It didn't happen. I thought a pump truck was going to be used to get concrete to the backyard. I was wrong and that wasn't quoted. The concrete itself seemed to have a decent amount of holes and rough spots. It was colored concrete and the color was inconsistent. One corner looks like they added a layer of concrete halfway through the job to fix a rough corner. That weird corner had some of it crumble off while the next contractor installed a retaining wall around it. In summary it was kind of a rough project. I give them credit for great ideas they shared with me during the design visit, though. Experience isn't a problem with them I don't think. But I wish it would have gone better. I wish the quality was better. I wish my project felt a little more important to them rather than just one of the many jobs they turn out over a summer. To be honest, maybe with these concrete contractors my experience was typical. At a minimum maybe someone reading this can avoid some of the mistakes.

Patio turned out beautifully. There were several delays due to rain which couldn't be helped. Only complaint I have is that there was no call ahead to my cable company to look for cables and they dug up my in-ground sprinkler system. My internet was out for a couple days because of this, and they did not fix the sprinkler system which incurred an additional cost.

We had a few false starts communicating about meeting for the bid, and when the work was to commence, but after that got straightened out, the work quality and timeliness was excellent. Couldn't be happier with the finished product.

I had a few estimates and while Creative wasn't the least expensive they responded quickly to calls and emails so I went with them. We set a day and a time to start and they arrived right on time. They did excellent work, I'm especially pleased with my sidewalk in back. They did a nice job artfully dealing with the strange path it needed to take and the slope of my yard.

This was the third contractor we hired in a year and by far the best.  The crew was ready for our project two days earlier than expected.  Fine with us since it was late September and Minnesota weather can make concrete work a bit dicey at that time of year.  The crew removed the existing sidewalk, which was badly pitted, cracked and upheaved.  They took great care when removing the sidewalk and steps adjoining the house so as not to damage or mar the foundation.  They made sure we had access inside the house at all times.  The crew did a superb job of cutting away the blacktop next to the garage so the concrete apron could be poured, resulting in an even, level finished product.  I observed one of the crew as he worked next to the house with the wet cement and witnessed him use his finger to wipe away concrete that had splashed on the foundation.  My husband and I wanted a patio slab with a "wow factor," which is why we chose this contractor, given the work he does with stamped concrete.  We're not disappointed.  The stamping resembles a wood grain floor and the color complements the stucco exterior of the house and garage. The combined effects make the slab stand out and everyone who's seen it, whether in person or photos, has told us how much they like the look.  Overall, I feel the contractor and his crew (yes, even the owner of the company showed up to get his hands dirty!) were extremely competent and cognizant about every detail.  The sidewalks have the proper slope, allowing water to run off and not pool.  The crew was minimally invasive to our yard and plants.  They cleaned up after themselves, leaving no debris or litter behind, and they finished the job in eight days.  Makes me look forward to shoveling snow this winter!!

We originally were just going to add a sidewalk  from the front of the house along the driveway so that people would have an easier time to walk from their cars in the winter.  Discussing this with Bryan we decided that it was more cost effective to replace the whole driveway (30 years old and cracked) as the sidewalk would have to be hand dug and the driveway could be done with a Bobcat.  Even when they started Bryan consulted us on the design of the patio and driveway and we were never surprised by what was going on.  The patio looks beautiful and was beyond our expectations.  And the driveway looks great too.   Bryan was easy to talk to and contract by phone or email and his crew was nice too.  I wish all projects went this smooth.

Brian had told us when they would be able to put them in and they were right on time.  Brian and his crew were such good workers.  We are extremely pleased with their workmanship and with the outcome.  We would definitely recommend them for concrete work.
