Our agent (Joan Johnson) did a great job of keeping up on what was available in the market that met our specific needs (wheelchair access) and our budget. She met with us many times to show us houses and listings that might have been of interest. She also was a good guide about the market and how to deal with the paperwork behind purchasing a foreclosure. In the case of the first purchase, Joan kept in contact with the seller's agents and anyone she could speak with at the selling bank or closing company -- and was much more diligent about it than I could have hoped for such a relatively small purchase. In both purchases, she did a lot of running around behind the scenes so my legwork was kept to a minimum. In addition, everyone else I dealt with at the office (receptionist, mortgage officer, etc.) was helpful and pleasant to work with.
