They submitted a report to our insurance company with recommendations/findings in a timely manner.
The contact person/examiner that came to our house took several separate phone calls in July and in August with me and with my husband, explaining and answering numerous questions we had regarding our damage report . We were both very impressed with his kind professionalism, and his honesty.
Due to the scope of the project changing/less work needing to be done on our home than we anticipated, we did not hire them directly to do the interior work. However, we will not hesitate to hire them to work on our home if we should need it in the future.
BIG MISTAKE.
I spoke with Andy and he was willing to negotiate and I will be paying $700.00. Andy and his team are professional and do a good job. I do not have experience with these emergency kinds of service providers...but I would ask them, before you agree to use them if they are primarily residential or commercial and get assurance that you will not be rescheduled because some commercial contract you have takes precedence.
"We try our best to value all of our customers the same, and we apologize if you were told otherwise. Due to the amount of rain we received, you requested service during one of the busiest weeks in the history of our company. We did our best to manage the chaos and get to everyone we could in a timely manner."
"We appreciate your kind words! Thank you for choosing us!"
"Thank you for reviewing our company! We're glad we could be there when you needed us."
"Thanks for the feedback! Glad we could help!"
"Thanks a million for reviewing our company! Living in a deer-shaped home can be pretty dangerous sometimes, so I'm glad we could be there when you needed us. ;-)"
The job estimated was quoted at $1200 and I was told this included clean-up and re-construction. Once the water was removed from the room, I was told the original estimator would be in touch again to schedule a construction team to put the room back together again. The original estimator coordinated a date for reconstruction and then provided me with an additional quote for that job when originally, I was let to believe by the clean-up team the original estimate of $1200 would cover the total project. At this point, I needed the room put back together so I agreed to the additional cost.
Another worker came to complete the room re-construction. His work was average, missing several areas I pointed out during the initial re-construction walk-through. The construction worker replace the carpet padding and replaced / re-caulked the wall trim. I was particularly dissatisfied with one piece of trim that seemed to be shoved into place (instead of cut to fit the length of wall) and filled with caulk where it didn't lay against the wall correctly. Several pieces of the wall and window trim were still cracked and not repaired upon his completion.
I called Clean Response to pay my total bill (now $1600) and explained my experience. He apologized for the misses in service and offered to either discount my bill or have the work repaired. I opted to have the work repaired. A different construction worker from Clean Response arrived the next week and fixed every issue. Our home office is now back in order and I'm satisfied with the level of work provided. I just wish it could've been done right the first time without having to complain about the quality of work performed.
Overall, I'd use Clean Response again but next time, I'd pay more attention to the work as its being completed and would get the complete estimate in writing from the job estimator (not the field clean-up or construction teams). I did appreciate the company's willingness to correct errors and the overall friendliness of both office and employees was very good.
"Thanks you very much! Glad we were able to help!"
"Hey Member, We really appreciate the feedback! You're right, "someday" it will all be funny, but water damage is never much fun at the time. We hope the "someday" comes soon, though. As for the price, we tried to keep it as low as we could for the amount of work we did. We even came in a little under our initial estimate because we were able to remove the drying machines early. Anyway, hope all is well! And keep an eye on those hoses!"
Went extremely well. I was amazed how fast they got things looking MUCH better. I had an inch of mud on the floor in the basement after a flood, and they moved things around, and got the situation under control very quickly. They definitely knew what they were doing, and once they arrived, I didn't worry about it any more. The whole process took almost a week of coming and going, because we had to allow time for the basement to dry out and for the hand-cleaning squad to get their work done. But the basement was in great shape when they left.
Clean Response, did a hallway carpet, and a throw rug that was on the floor.
What stood out to me, was that he took the throw rug with him so he could do a better job on it.
When he bought the rug back, it looked good.
We have used them about 3 times in the last 5 years.
They send the same person, which is kind of nice, because you can get to know him.
He seems knowledgeable of what he is doing.
I don't see any reason to switch to anyone else.
We are satisfied with his work, and it is the same person each time, that is what I like about them.
