"Our company did show up two hours late for the appointment and we did apologize to the member, whom answered the door. The road conditions were poor and my tech's didn't have the correct phone number. When the member first called I explained that our average job was taking around 2-4 hours and that we wouldn't be able to do an estimate over the phone do to the high volume of calls. We would charge $200.00 per hour for ice dam removal. It'd be impossible to answer over the phone how long it'd take unless we were present. Her husband agreed to the terms. While there, her mother said that her husband was in an important meeting and that she wouldn't contact him, and that we should go ahead. Her mother decided not to contact the homeowners. About two hours into the ice dam removal, her husband arrived and went inside. If this was a problem, her husband had more then two hours too ask us to stop. He did not and we pursued removing ice dams. In her letter she state's that she knew she had an "abnormal job", and that it was "significant". So she knew before our arrival that it was more time consuming then what was estimated!! The homeowners or her mom could have asked for us to stop at any given time!! Again as stated by the member, she knew the job would take longer then "normal" . Her husband was present for more then half the job. We collected payment from her husband with little dispute. Thanks, Bob Coffin President"
