Unfortunately, Rich is extremely difficult to get a hold of. To date, we have left over 10 messages over multiple days and he has called back perhaps once. To his credit, when we have been lucky enough to get in touch with him, he has sent over people to look over the boiler?one who exchanged out the thermocouple (which didn?t fix the problem, obviously) and a second person to fix the gas leak that resulted a few days after the first person came by?they are polite and reasonable. The problem is that 1) it takes many MANY phone calls over many days before anything is done, and 2) it has now been close to two months, and getting colder by the day. (Yes, that?s correct, we?ve had a total of 2 visits to attempt to deal with this issue over almost 2 MONTHS.) Waking up to a cold house to find out that the boiler has gone off again for the umpteenth time?not fun.
Ask yourself, do you want a plumber who is not responsive for the work that he has done?
UPDATED DECEMBER 3, 2012:
This is an update to the review below.Since posting the review on Angie's List, Rich at Cities 1 promptly followed up and sent over Todd to repair the boiler pilot, who replaced it with an electric pilot light. Todd was polite and efficient, and completed the work within an afternoon. It's been almost a week now, and we've had no issues so far. After installation, Rich called a few days later to follow up and make sure that things were still working, which was appreciated.
