They came out and gave an estimate, then sent someone over to remove the trim and check for further damage.  They removed old fiberglass insulation and put foam insulation around door frame.  They took the wood trim with them and found matching trim.  The painter/stainer did a great job getting the stain to match.  They came back to install the trim and refinish some of the base wood on the bottom of the door frame.  The were always very courteous, promptly showed up at the agreed times, and cleaned up after they were done.  I was very impressed that they were willing to do such a small job and the price was extremely reasonable.  Everyone seemed very competent at what they were doing, and I would definitely hire them again.  They also suggested that insulation in the garage attic may help prevent further ice dams and referred us to another company to have that work done. 

Cardinal had a kitchen designer who listened carefully to what we wanted (we had previously gotten three other design/quotes, which did not resemble what we had described). She provided a great design that we are very happy with. The quote was thorough and we came in right at the price agreed to. All previous contractors had told us it would take three months to complete the project (we mentally added a month). Cardinal told us hey would have it done in nine weeks, and they did it !!! We have been enjoying our kitchen now for six months and are totally satisfied and happy that we chose Cardinal. The staff is very professional. They keep you advised at all times about what is happening, what is next on the schedule, what has to be changed. They return calls at once. The whole experience was positive and the result was they kitchen/bath we had hoped for. Great company, great people.

I was impressed with Mike Campbell from the beginning. After meeting with me, he came back 2 days later with more than 10 subcontractors. The result was a job that was on time and under budget. His crew and he were responsive and proactive. I was given a construction manager's name and number. Tony and I talked almost every day. All of my concerns were taken seriously. We had no big surprises. When the job was almost complete, we realized that the cleaners would be in on a Monday. I asked if they could compress the work of the last week so that the cleaners could clean on Friday. They did it! We had the weekend before Christmas to move into our new great room and get a tree. We talked to many contractors before selecting Cardinal. We considered separate contractors for the exterior and interiors jobs. We could have saved money by managing it ourselves. But in the end, we made the right choice by having one contractor manage the entire project. Again, it was done on time and on budget. If there was an issue, I talked to Mike or Tony and they handled it. All of the scheduling was handled by them. When it comes to a kitchen, us amateurs don't always know what to do first. We will be completing the exterior in 2011 and Cardinal will be back to bid on the job.

The work that they did went very well. They were very easy to work with. They made sure that we were satisfied. I would tell others to take a look at the company.

This was a wonderful experience, and we're so thrilled with our "new" home. Many of our neighbors have used this company as well, so we felt confident that they would do a great job. In many ways they exceeded our expectations. They finished exactly on time - and some things were even done ahead of schedule. The architect and all the people that we worked with were creative and thoughtful, which really helped make our addition look beautiful. The project manager kept in close contact with us, and gave us daily updates of how things were going. We couldn't be happier with how the project went, and how wonderful our house is now. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking of remodeling their home.
