They showed up in time, took out old kitchen sink and water heater, installed new/replacement ones. They also provided the water heater, and explained how to operate it.

Fine. It was a bit more pricey than I expected but overall it went well.

Our rental property needed some work. The receptionist- Shannon- promised all sorts of service, benefits, etc, to get the job, promising a payment plan, a deal on multiple jobs, etc. Lesson learned. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
The plumber showed up at the rental unit with NO IDEA of the work to be done. Hardly an encouraging start. Charged us for the time waiting while he figured out what to do. Ick. The renters emailed us privately asking us to choose someone else next time. When I asked why, he (the renter) just said he didn't have confidence in the work. Nuff said.
Then the bill came that same day. We thought we would have 2 weeks to pay, and Shannon repeatedly and aggressively fought with my husband over email because of her promises. Of course we will pay, and I also promise we would never use these folks again.

"I would like to clarify a few things mentioned in the above review. We are a C.O.D company which means that payment is due upon completion of the job. There was not a discussion of paying two weeks later after the job was done. We were contacted by [member name removed] and she explained what items she wanted us to take care of and also sent a copy of the inspection report with the items highlighted. We were unable to take care of the laundry sink because the leak was coming from the cracked sink which is concrete. I never promised a payment plan (which was not discussed with the owner) nor a deal on multiple jobs (this was not discussed). I discussed our rates clearly with [member name removed] and the owner and the owner gave me a credit card to secure the job. When sending him an invoice the same day, I was told I was not allowed to charge the credit card that he provided to me when scheduling the job and that he would pay in two weeks. Our policy is payment due upon completion and the customer was well informed of this information."

They did work for us in multiple ways at our commercial property. It seems that their method is to do the minimum on the work order, regardless of what is needed. We would have arranged for them to do necessary additional work, had we known about it. We had to get other plumbers to get a sink functioning after they left, and to address a major sewage overflow. I was able to get a double billing issue resolved, but am out thousands of dollars for repairs following the hook up of new sewer lines to an old and broken pipe. Had they scoped the condition of the pipe before connecting to it, the very nasty overflow would never have happened. Their attitude was to blame us for the problems. Very poor grade!

"This complaint was resolved during an onsite meeting between you the owner, the general contractor and Bruce Nelson Plumbing and Heating (us). The existing underground waste piping in the building was the problem, not our workmanship or product. The new above ground plumbing we were contracted out to perform was properly installed to code, inspected and approved by the City Plumbing Inspector."

We have used Bruce Nelson Plumbing & Heating for years. They always respond quickly and do excellent work. From Shannon who does the scheduling, etc. to our favorite plumber, Greg, they are professional and thorough. They get things done and do them correctly every time. Why would we look elsewhere when we know and trust this business!

They were excellent! They came out after normal business hours to make the repair. Everything went really well.

I was very pleased with the technician, Greg. Not only did he do the required service, but also spent time explaining to me what he had done and why. He also took the time to answer questions I had about the unit. He was very professional and I intentionally waited over a week to write the review to see if I had to do a callback - which I did not have to do. I will use them again.

Dan provided thorough and thoughtful service. He went beyond merely removing the old and "plugging in" a new water heater; he added a screen to the exhaust port on the outside of my house to ensure that critters don't sneak in and he patiently explained the operation and safety features of the product to me.

I called on Friday afternoon and scheduled an appt for the following Tuesday. Tech (Mark B) arrived at the end of the appointment window, but it was ok since he called to let me know he was running toward the later end of the time slot.
Mark explained everything he was going to do before he started working. He was friendly and took time to explain the work and how things worked on the boiler.
He replaced a zone valve, the pressure gauge, a thermocouple, and a drain valve that started leaking as he worked on it. He also did a full bleed/refill on the lines, vacuumed the dust out of and around the boiler, and cleaned out the burner elements.
After the work was done, he showed me all the parts that were replaced, and walked me through the repairs and adjustments he made in detail.
I was expecting a larger amount on the invoice because of a recent quote from a competitor, so I was pleasantly surprised. Great job by this company and I'd definitely call them for future service.

Boiler not operating on weekend. Matt came out and repaired it . Well done. Also followed up about questions I had. Was a weekend so I accept the fact that it cost more. Would have cost 1/2 of what it did if it was normal workday. Made my tenants happy and warm again.

The Bruce Nelson technician was prompt and polite. But after examining our softener, he said he thought we should just replace the unit and quote purchase and installation of another brand of softener provided by Bruce Nelson Plumbing. We wanted another opinion because we did not think our current softener should have to be replaced yet. I had a Commers technician come out and look at it. He (a) quickly noted a salt bridge, (b) the unit was not stuck on a cycle but was set to 1900 gallons capacity (he reset it to 700 gallons). The Commers technician expressed some surprise that the Bruce Nelson technician was unable to fix the softener. Furthermore, the Commers unit does not have (c) a brine float or (d) a timer. It recharges based on water volume rather than time. This made it seem to me that the Bruce Nelson technician was not completely honest with me about what he knew of the Commers softener and was looking to make a quick sale whether that was what I really needed, or not. Based on this, I called Bruce Nelson Plumbing explaining all this and asking for my money to be refunded. They replied by letter dated 6/4/12, refusing to refund the money I paid. I wrote a letter in response 7/1/12 to Bruce Nelson Plumbing asking again for my money back with a detailed explanation of why I did not think their technician did not provide the services I requested because evidently he did not know about the Commers softener and how it works.

Even though he did a very good job, I was upset with his taking old copper pipe fittings and brass valve without even asking. With todays prices for these parts, I know that you can take apart and reuse on other projects. I would have given them to him, but would have been better if he had talked to me first.

They were good. We had a couple of other people out to work on our hot water heating system. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it.

Returned three times to adjust toilet flushing settings. Not their fault, factory sent defective part. Fixed at no additional charges to us.
