The service provided was excellent.  I had called in a few days prior to get an estimate, and the final cost was right in line with the estimate.  I had also called around to a couple other places and Brausen's prices were very comparable.  A couple days after the service my check engine light came on.  I called and they said to bring it right over to diagnose, which they did.  With a little troubleshooting, they determined it was a cracked rubber vacuum line that was causing the condition (which had likely been a deteriorated piece disturbed during the spark plug change). It was repaired quickly and for no charge.  I choose Brausen because they are convenient for me to use because they are close to work. They have always been competitive on price and they've done good work for me.

I didn't have to pay anything the last time. They are very, very friendly and aren't there to try to take me for my money like some auto repair places sometimes are. They were very straightforward with what was wrong with the car and how much it would cost to fix and what they would recommend. They said we could do it there or we didn't have to. The price wasn't bad.

Had used this garage for several years, and found them to be trustworthy, had even written a glowing review, and recommended them to a friend. I began noticing, however, that they were recommending an increasing amount of repairs (not just maintenance) be done on the car. Granted, car is a 10-year old Honda, but I've never had any issues with it running, other than when the first alternator went out which was the car's original alternator. It's been extremely reliable, and I've always had the required maintenance completed on the car.

I'm going to take this opportunity to cite a few instances:
Brausen recommended radiator hoses be replaced due to being old and worn. Inspected hoses with another mechanic, and there were no defects at all.
Fairly substantial oIl leak began immediately following last oil change completed at Brausen.
Air bag light came on, I inquired as to whether or not there was a recall related to this, they replied that there was not, but they would replace the air bag for me. I declined. Contacted Honda, there was, in fact a recall causing the warning light, but it had to do with the seat belt latch. Honda replaced the part for free, of course, but Brausen would have charged me a substantial amount for an unnecessary repair that would not have resolved the warning light.
I had recommended Brausen to a friend several years ago. When I told her of my recent concerns, she reported similiar instances, and is now taking her car elsewhere.

I have been taking my cars to Brausen for 6 years. Usually just oil changes, but they have done routine work as well as non-routine. They are very professional, and I trust them. They always present the options and pricing up front. The oil-change pred-paid cards are great.

I have been taking my car to Brausen Roseville for several years. I have a 2001 Honda Civic. The car has had regularly scheduled maintainence and this was its first repair. They have been doing all of the scheduled maintenance on the car for the past 5 years. They have never recommended a repair that didn't need to be done despite the system checks performed during maintenance (as mentioned, the was the first repair). Mike, and the guys at Brausen, are professional and provide exemplary customer service. They have given me rides home and rides to work when necessary. They are very upfront about pricing and have never charged more than the original estimate. I have recommended friends to them who have also been very pleased with their experiences. During times when I've been waiting at the shop for work to be performed, the seem to have a steady stream of regular, satisfied customers. I am surprised that they do not have more ratings on Angie's List, as based on past experiences, I wouldn't take my car to anyone else.

Brought car to this location as a "2nd chance" as they previously had missed a major engine problem a few years ago. Wanted a AAA rated service place that was open on weekends or evenings, close to home, so decided to give them another chance. Brought car early morning on a Saturday expecting it back in a few hours but car not ready until late afternoon. That was an inconvenience but I wasn't upset about that. Thought all was OK until a few days later the a/c still didn't work any differently (still running hot, and now had new noises in the fan system) and the engine rattle returned. This week had car at another shop to check the a/c, but most importantly, they noticed that the new drive axle had been taped with electrical tape to close a tear in the boot over the axle and grease poured right out of it. This 2nd shop was totally up front about it and let me know exactly what they witnessed, without accusing the first shop. They were even willing to talk directly to the manager at Brausen's over the phone, to tell them about it. I informed this first shop (Brausens') of the problem and they were willing to look at it, and replace it under "warranty." When questioned, they did say they talked to the technician, who apparently admitted he damaged the part when installing it and tried to "repair" it with the electrical tape. The manager tried to make things "right" but didn't offer anything specific, other than replacing the part. They did replace the part in less than 1 1/4 hours (less than the previous labor time, amazingly) at no extra charge, but this was the very least of what I expected. They did not offer to reimburse me anything. Didn't even get a car wash or a tank of gas as compensation, despite going out of my way to get the car back to them in short order and missing work time, to take care of this situation. I will not return and do not recommend their services. If they had given me some type of financial compensation, I wouldn't be as upset, but I still wouldn't recommend them.

I like them. They will give you a ride home and pick you up when the it is over with. I have been going to this service company for over 20 years and have always been happy with their service.
