Description of Work: Tree trimming

Description of Work: We needed three large trees trimmed. Andy gave us a proposal and a price, but never did the work. We had to keep calling and he would tell us there was a problem getting the power lines turned off and whatnot. Eventually we quit calling and he never called us back.

Description of Work: We needed a fallen limb removed and also tree branches cut away from our power, cable etc. lines

Description of Work: Got a consult - they were great. Decided not to do the work at this time.

Description of Work: I had two large trees that needed to come down and some pruning of other large trees. Their work was excellent. They were very respectful of my neighbor's property. The clean up was very good as well. The price seemed fair and comparable to other bids that I received. I feel that their communication could have been a bit better. I sometimes did not know what was going to happen when. Over-all this was a great experience though and I would be happy to use them for other work.

Description of Work: Removed 1 tree; trimmed several spruce pines; cleared underbrush. Branch & Bough did an excellent job respecting our space and acting independently while following our vision.

Description of Work: Trimmed a crab apple tree for me. They did an excellent job!

Description of Work: Performed tree trimming and removal of buckthorn. Responded promptly to our tight timeline. Performed jobs well and neatly cleaned up the affected areas. We will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Branch & Bough did an excellent job trimming or removing more than a dozen trees. They take great care to avoid damage to other trees and plantings and always perform a thorough clean-up. We have used them for several years, always with great results.

Description of Work: Took down large ash tree, ground the stump, also removed a small fruit tree and ground the stump.

Description of Work: They trimmed our Honey Locus tree and cabled one of the major limbs. They took precautions to protect our deck and roped down the vast majority of the larger limbs.

Description of Work: We hired Branch and Bough to replace several old and large bushes and trees next to the foundation of the house and along the property line. They also trimmed out the deadwood in a large ash tree in front of the house, and removed a dying crab apple tree and replaced with a new one. Finally, they reset the landscaping edging and added new landscape rock where necessary. We were very happy with the work. It did take a bit of time to get a formal estimate from them, but they responded right away when we contacted them again. They did the work in the amount of time that was estimated, and have been very helpful in any followup questions. Andy was great. Overall, a very professional organization.

Description of Work: Trimmed 6 oaks and one pine tree.

Description of Work: In the winter they performed oak trimming and removed a large ash tree. In May they returned to grind the ash stump. As always, they provide professional service and clearly emphasize great care for their own safety and the safety of your home.

Description of Work: Removed a damaged ash tree from front yard.

Description of Work: 04-02-2010 Andy came out around the end of March to give us an estimate on trimming our apple tree. We called him a few days later and set up Thursday (4-1-10) as the best date for both of our schedules; we got home from work just as he was putting his tools in his truck. He showed us the tree and it was 1,000% better than what we expected. Before he left he looked @ some landscaping that we know needed doing, but did not know how to go about it; he said he do some drawings and e-mail us the estimate and the pictures.

Description of Work: I highly recommend Andy Hovland of Moongate Garden Design. He is a certified arborist and U of Mn graduate. He started out as a tree guy, then started his landscaping business after graduating. He has done tree trimming for us on a very large Maple and I am very happy. He climbs up into the tree and that way can get a better sense of the health of the tree, as opposed to folks who get up there via a cherry-picker on a truck. I have had that type of tree trimming in the past and Andy's work looks much more natural. He is really good, very reasonably priced and he works all year long, even in our lovely Minnesota Winters. The price included work on a Spruce tree and also removal of a dead Pine tree. He has also done clean-up in the overgrown "prairie" front yard installed by the previous owner of our house. Over the Winter he will be working on a plan to redesign the yard.
