BladeRunners is not good at setting customer's expectations as to when/if they will appear to shovel/plow. Because I was new to having this type of service I had several questions. After the first big snow of the season in early December I waited several hours for them to arrive. My neighbor and I ended up doing most of the work although they eventually showed up. After our latest snow (Jan 25) I wasn't sure they would come because the official snow was around 1.5", although it was deeper in my neighborhood, partially because of blowing. I waited until the next morning and ended up doing my back walk myself, but sent an email to verify whether or not they were not coming before I did the front walk. (As someone else reported, when you call you just get a voice mail, which is why I sent my question via email.) The short version of this story is, because of my questions to try to understand when/if they were coming on 2 or 3 occasions, I received an email this week telling me they were terminating my service ("taking me off their list). I am 64 and recovering from knee surgery. Discontinuing their service with no notice in midwinter will make it particulary difficult to obtain a new service. I cannot believe their lack of professionalism in handling customer inquiries! I was never rude or angry, simply trying to understand whether I needed to get someone else to help me when it snowed or whether they would show up. I would also like to add that they have a clause in their pricing that they charge more for snowfalls of 5" or more &/or 'extreme weather conditions.' This extra charge is applied very liberally, so that for December my bill rather than being $75 was $105.

When you call Blade Runner you don't get to speak to a person. You are directed to leave your address on a voicemail system and they will look at your property and send you a quote. I called twice both times leaving my address and phone number. I have never received a quote or a return phone call. I have already contracted with another company to have the work done. Next year I won't be calling Blade Runner.

Had been very easy to deal with, prompt call-backs and good service for the first 2 years. Recently been show-up slower and slower. Did not show-up at all during the most recent declared Snow Emergency. Has not returned calls and have to assume at this point they aren't going to.

They were available during the snow storm. I asked them to be careful to not damage my new side steps. They were careful and did a thorough job. The next day the came back cleared the end of the driveway after the city plowed the streets. Very good service and did not expect the follow up. Cost is per month.
