I wish there were an A+ option!  I have built / redone a few homes, and I can tell you, finding someone who knows color and can help you pick is very hard to do!  I whole heartedly recommend Beth.  My house is a hodgepodge of styles and bad color.  I really wanted to redo it, but I have some things I can't really change, like floors and cabinets, and some things I can, like woodwork and walls.  Beth came to our home and in a short time had zeroed in on what we liked, then found colors that worked with the things we couldn't change.  We are changing from a very dated earth tone look to grays and blues and Beth found colors to make it all work.  My husband and I were really impressed with her knowledge and she was so easy to work with.  If we didn't like a color she selected, she just moved on.  
In addition, after the appointment she sent us several page sized samples of the colors so we could put them on the walls and try them out without having to paint samples on the wall.

Beth spent 4 hours with us.  She took time to understand what we wanted to accomplish with color and then we began the process of selecting colors for all the rooms in our home. She was delightful to work with and when we were done, we had a complete palette of colors that we love!  It would have took us weeks of "discussions" to accomplish what we were able to do in 4 short hours with Beth.  Highly recommend her!!

We sat down and talked a bit first, she looked at our things (which were still in our rental house several blocks away), and we started working through the rooms in the home we had recently purchased. She provided invaluable advice and at the end we had a paint palette for our entire home. We tested all the paints and went back to her for a phone consultation on my daughter's room - it faces west and the afternoon sun made the color we choose look like neon. She gave some advice and we selected a more mellow color that is still on the walls today. In fact, after 5 years, we have only repainted one room in a different color.
We have gotten many compliments on the paint colors in our home over the past five years. But I still think the best was my husband's comment after he saw the paint palette that Beth provided. He laughed, and said, "Those are the colors that you would have chosen!" Beth guided me to the colors that fit us and our home.

My husband does NOT trust my ability to pick wall colors!  Why?  I don't know, maybe because we had changed wall colors 4 times in about 18 months.  So when it came time to choose wall colors for our new house, I decided to save myself a lot of time, energy  and money by hiring a color consultant.  Beth was fabulous!  We had a pre-consultation on the phone to discuss the rooms that we wanted to concentrate on.  She gave me an estimate based on the amount of areas that were discussed.  She came to our new house and basically had a white canvas, (we didn't have inspiration pieces to work with, which is recommended). After seeing the woodwork and style of the house we dove in.  We sat down with her portfolio of colors and went through the process of eliminating the colors we didn't think would compliment the woodwork and fireplace stone. Finally, we found the perfect colors and also an alternative if we saw fit.  I am relatively familiar with Sherwin Williams colors, but I know that I would not have considered certain colors that I now LOVE in our house.  It was so nice to have a professional eye help me pick the right colors.  Beth was patient, creative and kind throughout the whole process and I really appreciated her service.  I truly believe it was money and time well spent!

Beth responded to my call very quickly and was able to come over the next day, on a weekend, for a color consult so we could be ready for painters arriving the following week.  She picked great colors, and has been very responsive on follow-up.

I contacted Beth and set up an appointment. She was able to come to my house on a weekend, and the consultation only took a couple hours. She was very thorough, and took multiple things into consideration that I would never have considered. She pays attention to details; for instance, she not only recommended a highlight color for the flower boxes, she recommended that I paint the top rim of the flower boxes a separate color, so that they blend in with the wrought-iron bracket.

After the appointment, I received a bunch of swatches that I can put up on my wall, so I can "live with" the colors for a while. Very confident that the colors we chose are great for this house & neighborhood. 

She was terrific. I was having my house painted and she advised me on an accent color to use in a variety of places on the exterior of my house. What I liked about her was that she had an online portfolio of her past work that I could review; that was very helpful. I will use her again in the future.

Knowing nothing about color selection, we hired Beth to help us with our living room/ Dinning Room/ Entry color scheme. This project was complicated because of our open floor plan and various wood types and stain in the rooms. Beth's selected 3 coordinationg colors that would not have been our choices on the color sample. She sent us several 8.5 x 11 color samples that helped us decide to give it a try. Once we got the paint on the walls, the room was beautiful. Good Job.

Beth did an excellent job of color coordinating our house. We love the colors. She was fun to work with and asked us our opinion on colors. We are still working on the project, painting one room at a time. She prepared sheets with color swatches and the rooms they were to be used in so as we paint, we just go to the swatch to get the right color.

She was here for about six hours. She came up with an initial scheme for the work. Then, she came back and went through color patches and finalized the color scheme. She was responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend her.

Beth conducted a brief interview to get an idea of our color preferences and how we would like to feel in each space. She then brought out her large selection of color tiles that we utilized to "experience" different colors in each room. We were allowed to choose a color of our preference going from room to room and Beth would recommend going lighter or darker or provide us with alternatives that may enhance the qualities of the surrounding cabinetry, woodwork, furniture, etc. She spent 3 1/2 hours with us as we choose colors for each space in our 2,000 square foot home. She then sent us color samples in the mail to try in each room for a few days prior to painting so that we may "live with" the colors. She made herself available via phone or another visit to help revise any colors that we may have second thoughts on. However, we have painted 3 rooms so far and are very pleased with each room and have not found it necessary to ask for further advice/consultation. Beth's services were excellent.

The price was quite reasonable.

We LOVE the colors! The living area colors were particularly daunting for us, and she led us to several colors we never would have considered, and we love the results. We picked a couple of colors for other kids bedrooms, but we had run out of time and only spent 5 minutes on them, and I ended up changing them later. I also found that one of the bedrooms she did help us with wasn't quite the color I was looking for - I had some trouble with blues, which was funny because those were the colors I came in being excited about. However, it's fine and we're keeping it - just not as excited about it as we are about all the rest. Finally, we had some follow up questions as the painters were doing their work, and Beth called us back same day (even late one evening) as we needed the answers right away, and each time she was able to help us get to an answer over the phone, and I was so glad I had called. Beth had a good balance of really working with our style and preferences, and giving us her firm opinion when something would be a mistake.

My time with Beth went splendidly. I had about 8 colors picked out, and had painted small patches of them at various places throughout the rooms. Once she was at my house she looked at all the colors and asked which ones were my favorites. I didn't let her know, because I wanted to see which ones she would recommend without prejudicing her. She spent a fair amount of time holding paint strips up to the walls and studying the colors I had already painted on. She ended up choosing two of my top color choices. We discussed them, and she explained why they would be good for the rooms (They complimented the woodwork, etc.) She recommended that I go one shade lighter for one of the colors, a recommendation which I followed and which I am glad I did follow, now that the painting is over, as the darker shade would have been TOO dark and intense. Another recommendation she made was to incorporate a darker shade of our chosen living room color into my already painted burnt orange fireplace, in order to link the wall color and the fireplace colors. I have yet to do this, but plan to do it. In fact, beyond Beth's service of coming to my home, giving me her time, and not charging me (because, she said, I had done most of the preliminary work of choosing the colors, and she only needed to give her opinion, more or less) I called her the next day asking if she thought I could swap the two chosen colors, i.e. put the yellow in the living room and the "pumpkin" in the dining room. Again, she gave her opinion gladly and offered to return, if I wanted, to see how it would look. (I didn't take her up on her offer.)

The price was affordable. I would rate her highly and would use her in the future if necessary.

she came out once with small swatches & we chose a bunch of possibilities, then she came back with larger swatches and we narrowed it down to the perfect color. great lady, personable, listened well, helped us understand what we wanted better.

It was a good experience, she was good. I didn't use her suggestions, but I would still recommend her - she was good. She was punctual and did a really nice review of outside color recommendations for my home exterior. She sent in color samples and mailed a little card summarizing what she had recommended. She was a really nice person.

Great! Beth came out on a Saturday and spent nearly 3 hours with us (my husband had no idea what he was in for!). She asked a lot of questions regarding mood and feel of a room and also used the tile and a painting we wanted to keep to begin pulling a set of colors to examine. Then we taped them all to the wall and begin eliminating the ones we didn't want. It was a very useful method. We have since completed all the painting and we are both so pleased with the outcome!
