Melissa then came on the line and gave me the Fed Ex shipping instructions. The check was picked up on 5/21 (Wednesday - Fed-Ex tracking number 8026 4152 2926) and on Thursday my wife received a call, probably from Melissa, telling her that my check had arrived and the order would be shipped ?sometime within the following week.? It was Not shipped, nor did I get the courtesy of a call. During the order conversation I was sure that Anthony told me I would receive a shipping tracking number within 3 to 5 days after the check cleared, an event which occurred the day Barber coins received the check (deposited into BCC Inc account at Eagle Valley Bank [deleted] on 5/22/2014 . When talking to Melissa (13 days after placing the order) she told me that, if Anthony told me 3 to 5 days he misspoke as it was ?policy? to hold a check for 9 days before processing an order. My check was deposited, and cleared, the day it was received. Since I had received no calls by June 2, 2014 (13 days after ordering) I sent an email to
[email protected] asking the status of my order, a simple email reply would have sufficed but Melissa called me and I told her that, since my check had cleared on 5/22 I would like to know when I would get a shipping date and tracking number on my order. She told me that that ?...it is policy to hold a check for 9 days after receipt before shipping?. She further stated that orders were filled in the order taken and promised me that I would have a shipping date by the end of the week...it did not happen! Since the ?end of the week? came with no call, late Friday afternoon 6/13/14 (21 days after placing the order) I called Anthony and he told me that he was the office manager and they were so busy that he barely had time to think. He assured me that my order was about ready to go out, either ?today or possibly tomorrow? as they were working on Saturday. He promised to check with shipping and let me know. I gave him my email address so that he could be sure to get me...he also has my phone number. Once again no one followed up. I am still waiting for information on this, the 16th day of June (27 days after placing my order). In my opinion, there can be NO excuse for the constant waffling on a shipping date (and possibly policy re: the check) rather than use the MUCH less expensive email, Melissa chose a (no paper trail) phone call, Anthony promised to check on my order and email me the shipping dates...it never happened. He apparently chose no communication whatsoever. I would point out that an email takes roughly a minute to dash off while a phone call usually takes 5 minutes, minimum, in a (supposedly) busy office a phone call would seem to me to be a poor choice. P. S. Other companies have informed me that, if the metal prices dropped from the time of the order and before shipping they would include additional coins...is this your policy as well? For the record, Barber Coins has made no such offer. Since this letter was written I have contacted Melissa on 6/23/14, after the tracking number did not show up on the Fed Ex site, and she told me that the ?package would be picked up by tomorrow and delivered by the 30th.? I just checked the Fed Ex tracking site now and got the message ?No information of your tracking number? so apparently the package has not been picked up yet. My wife also called Malissa last week and was assured that the product would be shipped sometime last week.
