Description of Work: All aspects of our experience with Mendota were excellent. Patty was great about scheduling us, and Josh was super about completing a variety of small projects throughout our new home (reversed polarity in receptacles, ungrounded receptacles, fixing a light switch, etc). When Josh found a problem with grounding a receptacle he immediately told me it would take extra time, worked very hard, and still managed to come out right at our estimate. We will definitely be using Mendota again.

Description of Work: Fantastic as always-I've hired them 3 times now to do various things. This time they installed a ceiling fan (required adding new wiring), two outside lights, lights under the steps in the basement, replaced two ceiling fixtures upstairs, and wired in the lights and exhaust fan for the skylight solartubes (that were being installed the same day). Not only did they do the work promptly and thoroughly, but the electrician was pleasant, professional, and went out of the way to do little things, like replace light bulbs that were burned out in the general area where he was working. If that wasn't enough, the electrician even carted off the boxes from the new fixtures and ceiling fan, and also disposed of the old light fixtures. This company has now sent different people each time, and they are all wonderful! I highly recommend them for any kind of electrical work, including projects where you want their suggestions.

Description of Work: Placed 6 recessed lights in kitchen (house 8 years old) under cabinet lighting 2 pendants took down ceiling fan and put up new light fixture and fixed door bell. Pristine work and customer service. Patty on the phones very prompt and friendly, project manager out quickly and told us exactly what lighting to buy. Tech I think Jason was very thorough, neat and professional. The work turned out wonderful, especially the 2 pendants above the island. There was no sloppy work.

Description of Work: HIRED MENDOTA ELECTRIC TO INSTALL A NEW OUTLET OUTSIDE ON OUR PATIO, INSTALL TWO DECORATIVE LIGHTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF OUR DETACHED GARAGE AND REMOVED THE ELECTRICAL FROM A WALL THAT WE ARE INSTALLING A PATIO DOOR ON. THE NEW OUTLET AND LIGHTS ARE PRETTY STANDARD FOR AN ELECTRICIAN BUT THE REMOVAL OF AN OUTLET WAS TRICKY. OUR HOUSE WAS BUILT IN THE 1950'S AND THE OUTLET THAT WE WANTED REMOVED WAS AN ADDITION THAT WAS PUT ON THE HOUSE THAT WAS CONNECTED TO OTHER OUTLETS IN THE ROOM. THE ELECTRICIAN (JARED) OFFERED VARIOUS IDEAS ON HOW TO GET THIS DONE FROM EASIEST TO DIFFICULT. HE ENDED UP HAVING TO TAKE THE DIFFICULT ROUTE DUE TO OLD ELECTRICAL WIRING. WE LOVED THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED AND WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.

Description of Work: I HAD A CIRCUIT FAIL IN MY KITCHEN. WAS SELLING THE HOUSE WITH CLOSE DATE OF 6/27. CALLED ON 6/23, SAID THEY WOULD COME OUT 6/25. CALLED ME 6/25 AT 1:00, SAID THEY WERE BEHIND AND COULDN'T MAKE IT THAT DAY, OR ANY DAY BEFORE THE 27TH. HOWEVER, IF I PAID OVERTIME (50% MORE)THEY COULD COME OUT. YOU'RE EITHER TOO BUSY OR NOT. WAITING TWO DAYS THEN EXTORTING BONUS OUT OF ME IS WRONG.

Description of Work: UPGRADED TO 200 AMP SERVICE. THE PROPOSAL AND ESTIMATE WERE FOR $1400.00, BUT I REQUESTED A FEW ADDITIONAL THINGS BE DONE THAT NECESSITATED AN EXTRA HALF DAY'S WORK AND ADDITIONAL $400.00.
