Hired 8/2003 to build an in-ground swimming pool. Our first season (spring 2004), we experience washouts of the cement-like pool bottom. We asked them to repair the holes when closing the pool in the fall. They said since ground water caused the issue (in their opinion) it wasn't covered by the one-season warranty. There's nothing in the contract stating warranty does not cover ground-water related issue. We've since had a cracked skimmer, more wash-outs of the bottom, and a liner torn in two spots, and they've repaired nothing at their expense, stating ground water caused the problems. They struck water when they built the pool, and expressed no concern. They at no time advised us before or during construction that ground water could cause problems, and willingly built the pool on our site, stating no concerns. We since found out they failed the city footing inspection, but finished the pool anyway, and never completed the final inspection. Overall, a very shabby operation.
