UPDATE: It should be noted that the original estimate was around $12,000.00 to $13,000.00. At last meeting, the estimate shot up to $15,500.00 to $16,000.00 and that is just the roof alone. We asked him over and over to verify the pricing and he was always vague each time. My husband telephoned him last night and John still did not disclose he had lost his license. We were upset that he had refrained key information from us. After we had told him we are shopping around to get several estimates on our roof, he became very upset and wanted our business. We have a hard time paying $16,000.00 of which $5,000.00 were used for supplies, $4,500.00 goes to roofers for labor, $500.00 for trash bin, and the remaining $5,000.00 goes into John Dossett's pocket. We believe $5,000.00 is too much money for John to profit from all this. John still demands more money even though they have not touched our roof yet. He forced it down our throats that he is sending Carlos and his crew over with his trash bin (I don't know if Carlos and his crew are legal USA residents and are legally employed to work in the USA) on Saturday. We are very upset that he is "forcing his business" on us. We told him we need several days to talk it over and figure out what we need to do. John still demands more money.
